We are actively looking for players in current school years 10, 11 & 12 to join our under 18 team for season 2026/27. 📣 1️⃣8️⃣

Head coach Steve Jones has explained this is an exciting opportunity:

“Sporting have introduced Adam Palmer as the clubs Male Development Lead. This move ensures there is a player pathway to the clubs three men’s teams who operate in divisions 1 & 2 of the Weston super Mare and district football league & the Premier division of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League.”

Matches are played Sundays at 2pm in the Somerset U18 Football League ⚽️🏆

Saturday 6 June saw our youth 2025/26 season come to a close in a wonderfully endearing fashion:

lots of smiles & happy faces to celebrate a huge football family made up of players, parents, coaches, sponsors & committee members 🥰💛🖤

A bag thank you to Tyler the DJ & production consultant, SomersetSpin for providing 360 degree videos & photos, Time of your life mobile bar & all the volunteers & helpers. 👏🏻🙌🏼🥳

The 3 committee awards were also presentation:

🟡 Youth coaching team of the season went to the U9’s group consisting of Liam Bavin, Sam Cooper, Alan Fernley & Jason Dyer.

⚫️ The Recognition award went to U13 & Sporting Weston FC Vixens coach & Female Development Lead Luke Kershaw

🟡 The new Outstanding Achievement (Gary Booth) award went to Treasurer & fundraising organiser Becky O’Rourke.

Many grassroots coaches give up countless hours of their own time to help local children enjoy football, and often end up paying for things like training wear and equipment themselves.

As a Sporting Weston coach himself, our Managing Director Mike Hancock (pictured right) knows first-hand the commitment, hard work and dedication that goes on behind the scenes every week.
