🛠️ WORK DAY AT CHEW VALLEY RFC 🛠️

It’s time to give the club a little TLC! 💚🤍

We’re getting together for a club work day and we’d love as many members, players, coaches, parents, supporters and volunteers as possible to come along and lend a hand.

There’s plenty to get stuck into, including:

🔨 Remove old sponsor boards
🪧 Put up new sponsor boards where we have them
✨ Clean sponsor boards staying up
🌿 Hedge cutting along the lane
🗑️ Empty & clean the large bins
🏠 Clean out the roof gutters
🚛 Clear rubble & general rubbish into the skip
🚿 Clean shower heads
🧹 Clear general rubbish from the changing rooms
📦 Tidy external storage areas
🪟 Clean windows inside & out
🔧 Repair damaged doors in Changing Room 4
🚧 Move road cones ready for collection

…and plenty of other jobs will be added to the list on the day!

💪 No special skills required — just bring yourself, some enthusiasm and be prepared to get stuck in!

Whether you can spare the whole day or just a couple of hours, every pair of hands makes a difference.

Let’s get the club looking its best for the season ahead! 🏉💚

💚 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT CHEW VALLEY RFC 💚

Our club wouldn’t be what it is without the amazing volunteers who give their time behind the scenes and we’re looking for more members of the Chew Valley community to get involved!

We’re asking for just ONE OR TWO HOURS A MONTH. That’s it! Every hour makes a difference and helps keep our club running, welcoming and ready for everyone. 🏉

There are lots of ways you can help, including:

🍻 Glass collecting
🚗 Car parking
🪑 Set up & clear up
🧹 Clubhouse tidy up
🎉 Events & fundraising
🔧 Maintenance & DIY
🍺 Behind the bar

🏉 The 6th marks the first Sunday of the 26/27 Mini & Junior rugby season, CHEW VALLEY RFC!

🎉Please arrive before 9.30am if you're 5-11 years young and ready to shine!

✨ 9.30am - Group warm-up followed by training for U6/7/8/9/10/12.
Next session starts at 11am, so don't be late!
⏰ 11am - training for u13/14/15/16 and u12/14/16/18 Girls.
Sorry, no U11's this week, but they'll be back on 13/9/26.

🤩 Pre-loved kit available to buy and fuel up with food at the club! 🍔🍟

We’re delighted to see Max Dorrington back in the green and white and back playing his rugby at Chew Valley RFC! 🏉 Sponsored by Miety Stone.

Max has been making his mark this pre-season, showcasing exactly what he can bring to the squad. A strong presence in the second row, he’s been putting in some serious work with great line speed, physicality and a real passion for the game.

Five of our girls are heading to Exeter College over the next few weekends for their England U18 Player Development Group (PDG) assessments!

Estella & Faye kick things off this weekend, with Mabel, Leah & Ruby starting their assessments next weekend.

This is a HUGE opportunity for the girls to go out there, play their rugby, test themselves against some of the best young players around and show the England pathway what they can do. 👏

And yes… we’re sure there will be a few nerves! 😅 But that’s what these days are all about getting outside your comfort zone, putting yourself out there and seeing what you can do.

Whatever happens over the next few weekends, getting to this stage is something to be incredibly proud of. 💚
