The 211km Dragon Ride had everything for a challenging ride. Long climbs, competitive riders and fast downhills. Then a sting in the tail with the rather steep Devils Elbow. Hope it’s a bit warmer and a more sedate pace in Ronda when we go there next March

After a cold dark winter there’s only one thing to do. Head to southern Spain for some well earned sun and have a week cycling in the beautiful landscape around Ronda .

Bristol - Caernarfon - Bristol.
Out and back on the “Wales in a Day” route (648km and 10,093m ascent). Challenged myself to cycle to the start of the event in Caernarfon, near Snowden and join Mark and Carl for the return. Left early Friday 16th and arrived back nearly 40 hours later. No sleep just cycling, eating, drinking and enjoying the beauty of Wales as it led us up and down ( mainly up it felt like) numerous 25% hills in 30+ degree heat. An ice cream van towards the top of the Gospel Pass saved the day 😀. Thanks to everyone for their encouragement , especially Mark and Carl who set the pace and could not have been more supportive.

Tour de France racing in the spin class for the next 3 weeks. Our chance to experience a stage race on the Tour ( 190kms in 30 mins a bit like Lance Armstrong) like the professionals. Split the group into two sponsored teams and get them competing. Whichever member cyclists the furthest wins the Yellow Jersey 🚴‍♂️🚴🏻‍♀️👘👑
