The Great Weston Ride is a challenging 57-mile recreational bike ride from Bristol to Weston-super-Mare via the spectacular Mendips and the Somerset Levels. And a fantastic charity fundraising opportunity!

Did a 'thing' with a bunch of mates last week over the extended Easter weekend 👇

10 people (8 riders + support team of 2), 5 days of cycling, & over 450 miles covered in total for those who did all 5 days 😁👍

Absolutely glorious and, as we always say, soooo much better riding with a groups of pals! 😍👍

Remember that last bit when it comes to your GWR challenge this Summer! 😁😁😁😁😁

We're delighted to announce that our official Charity Partner for 2026 is once again Prostate Cancer UK - a fantastic & really important cause that our riders have supported massively in the past 😁👍😁👍

And that support is needed more than ever with prostate cancer now actually the most common cancer in the UK - even more than breast cancer.

It's been a while but it was worth the wait - a beautiful day for a lovely bike ride with a few mates 😁😍😎

We've got a big cycling trip coming up over Easter so this was very much needed - and it did just the job! 😁👍

Only sliiight issue is that the first day of our Easter trip is almost 2x this distance!! 😂😲🤣🥵

Another fabulous day for a bike ride, even if there was a bit of a nip in the air 😎☀️

This was a lovely route through North Somerset, and a treat to be dragged around by the daughter-in-law to be (though she did just disappear into the distance on the final climb! 😂😂)

Just one word of advice based on first-hand experience - a skinful the night before a 4-hour bike ride is definitely NOT a good idea!! Who knew?! 🤦🤣

Something a bit different today - a solo ride in that there South London/Surrey area 😁

A lovely (if somewhat lumpy!) route taking in the races at Lingfield, the very aptly-named Pains Hill 🥵 and a climb up Clacket Lane (of M25 Clacket Lane Services) fame!

Lovely day for it & hope everyone else made the most of it too! 👍😁👍

So nice to finally get out for a spin on the bike again (even if it was a tad damp 🌧️!) 😁

And Chapeau 🎩 to my 75 year old pal who also came along, while all the younger ones wimped out! 💪😂

As we often say, it always seems much easier & more enjoyable when you've got someone to ride with - and a little bit of rain definitely shouldn't deter you!👍👍👍

3 days (and counting 😥) with a heavy dose of the dreaded lurgy is definitely not the best way to start the year - especially when it's been good winter conditions for getting out on a bike 🤒😭

Frustrating doesn't even come close....

But hopefully many/most of you ARE making the best of it, and as for the rest of us - our time will come! 👍 Always remember - Winter miles make Summer smiles 😉😎

Today was undoubtedly a lovely day for a bike ride! 😁😎

So, despite a) another 5-week hiatus and b) weighing in at 97kg, some bright spark (aka yours truly!) thought it would be a good idea to take on our old friend Burrington Combe 🥵 🤷‍♂️

Suffice to say, the wheels, doors, & anything else you can possibly think of came off on the hill and what ensued was undoubtedly the slowest ascent EVER (quite possibly by ANYBODY! 🤣)

And you know what - SO WHAT? The important thing is that it got done, yours truly learned a bit of a lesson in the process, and 4+ hrs of exercise & fresh air in the winter sunshine is still a great feeling! 😁👍

ps anyone know if Santa does new legs?!?! 🤣🤣🤣
