Hey, I'm Rosie!

I have been going to the gym for roughly five years but recently started focusing on powerlifting with the help of my coach! Lifting heavy weights has always been a passion of mine and to be able to complete competitions makes me super happy!

My aim is to get as many people involved in the gym as health and fitness is super important for everybody! So please come and join us whether you are experienced or a complete beginner, we want to help!!

Hey I'm Phoebe!

I've been powerlifting since April 2022. I'm extremely passionate about powerlifting, it's a brilliant sport. I'm here to give advice and guidance in powerlifitng and for competitions. I would love to get more people in to the sport, especially more women. I am hoping to organise some women only sessions and some introductory sessions for new lifters to start building more confidence, and hopefully bring new members to the team. Since a young age I've been extremely passionate about sports, from hockey to basketball to karate! About a year ago I got into lifting and it's something I can't get enough of.

Hey I’m Felix!
I’ve been lifting on and off for the last 3 years. I've found that fitness/exercise has always been a positive environment to make friends that are supportive of one another. This is my aim for the UWE Lifting Club as I know it can be scary sometimes.
Bodybuilding is my interest however powerlifting and Olympic style weightlifting has been a passion of mine from the last year.

Hey I’m Bec!
I’ve been at UWE for a few months now and have loved getting involved in different societies and seeing how passionate people are about their sports/craft.
For me, my passion has always been lifting.
After seeing other universities and their associated lifting clubs, I wanted to get the ball rolling and create a UWE lifting club. I knew a few people locally, all passionate powerlifters and bodybuilders, that I knew were just as eager to make this happen. Before we knew it the whole team were all putting in 110% to make the UWE Lifting Club a reality.

This has only made me all the more excited see where the UWE lifting club will go. I hope you’ll join us to help create a fun and safe space for people with a passion for lifting, where we’ll challenge and teach one another.
