Classical Ballet for Adults Qualified teacher, ex professional Royal Ballet dancer. Group classes and 1:1 tuition, recreational and vocational.

Amanda Frescura, formerly Mandy Gilpin, trained at the Royal Ballet School, then danced classical repertoire with the Royal Ballet Company performing at the Royal Opera House, London, New York and all over Europe. She holds the Licentiate in ISTD Ballet teaching, Diploma in Dance Education and has more than 20 years teaching experience. Credits include teaching at London Central Ballet School and

Elmhurst School for Dance. She currently teaches in the Bristol area and coaches students privately for exams, competitions and as preparation for auditions and vocational training. Amanda also gives private tuition on the ISTD’s Ballet Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) programme, at the Dance Station in Bristol.

Adult Ballet Beginners
Full of admiration for those who attend my adult ballet classes. In general, ages range from 17 to 70 something... They come from all walks of life - accountants, software designers, tax inspectors, TV, nurses, police forensics, school teachers etc. Some did ballet as children, but many start from scratch as mature adults, attending several classes per week to make progress. Great achievement!
