O60 Padel County Cup Weekend!

What a weekend for Avon! 💙💛

A fantastic three days of padel, teamwork and plenty of fun!

Men’s Team – qualified from their group before going down in a tight quarter-final. They finished 5th overall, missing out on promotion by just one place! So close… roll on next year!

Women’s Team – a brilliant run, narrowly losing a tense quarter-final tie-break against previous champions Surrey. 💪

Mixed Team – history made again as, for the first time, the team reached the semi-finals, only narrowly losing to Gloucestershire in the deciding shoot-out!

Three days, countless matches and some seriously competitive padel!

A huge thank you to all the players for representing Avon so brilliantly, and to our fantastic team of volunteers for making the weekend so well organised and enjoyable. 💙💛

Experienced Padel Coach Needed!

Coach needed to lead a junior team at the inaugural UK Padel Junior County Cup, taking place at Rocket Padel, Bristol, on 28–29 November 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a coach who enjoys developing young players and wants to play a key role in identifying and preparing some of the best junior padel talent in the county for a new national competition.

Working alongside Avon Tennis, you will:

🔵 Lead a junior selection session on 10 September, 6.00–7.30pm at Rocket Padel, Bristol.

🔵 Deliver a minimum of three training sessions with the selected players in the run-up to the competition, focusing on team development, match play, tactics and preparation.

🔵 Help players understand what it means to represent their county, building confidence, teamwork and a positive team environment.

🔵 Attend the UK Padel Junior County Cup on 28–29 November at Rocket Padel and coach the team throughout the event.

If you are passionate about developing junior padel and helping young players reach their potential & are
available to deliver the selection session, at least three preparation sessions and the County Cup weekend, we want to hear from you!
