Saints Old Boys FC Saints Old Boys have five sides competing in the Bristol Downs League. Great social element to the club too. New members always welcome.

Established in 1968, Saints Old Boys FC are proud to play in Bristol’s historic Downs League. With 5 teams across 4 divisions, we’re one of the longest running and most established teams in Bristol. The club started life as St Andrews Park before joining the Downs League in 1971 and renamed as Saints Youth Club. The club’s illustrious history has seen the Saints crowned Downs League Champions 8 ti

mes, Norman Hardy Cup winners 5 times (including 3 doubles) and most recently, the GFA Intermediate Cup in 2021. In addition to 11-a-side matches during the season, we run weekly training sessions as well as pre-season fitness training and friendly games. The club has a vibrant friendly social side that includes an annual tour to European destinations and plenty of local occasions throughout the season. The club headquarters are at The Mouse Public House in Westbury on Trym, where after-match entertainment is served up by hospitable landlords Elaine & Billy. New members are always welcome - just drop us a DM and one of the management team will be in touch.

Last week we said goodbye to one of the great Saints players of the 21st century: (Jamie Burling)

51 goals in 110 games is some return. And who could forget the deadly partnership he struck up with Baz Gould in the As a few years ago.

Picked up by the Melbourne Marsupials in the transfer window, Burling will be playing his football down under for the foreseeable - good luck mate!! 🦘🇦🇺🍻

Saints Old Boys in South Africa 🇿🇦⚽️

One of our brightest young talents, Henry Cheek, this week travelled over to a community close to Johannesburg to rebuild the roof of a church that is a cornerstone in the lives of so many.

In one of his free evenings he played a footy match against a local team & donated some old Saints kits for these lads to wear. Absolutely class! 👌
