Here we go! We are finally back racing again 😍

The season kicks off today with our junior team in the SRK Junior Sprint Championship 2024 at Castle Combe Karting. We have a great line of up drivers representing the team who are looking to kick off their charge in the championship.

Anderson Palmer-Wright returns for a second season, a regular at Castle Combe and A finalist we are looking forward to seeing how Anderson does in the season opener, is an A final on the cards? Joining him for their first full campaign in the SRK championship is Gino Farino, Ben Longman and Lewis Francis who will be racing for the first time at the track

A busy day at 22HQ making a few bits of team merch ahead of the 2024 season which kicks off in a few weeks with our junior team starting their campaign in the SRK Junior Sprint Championship.

Pretty happy with how these visor stickers have come out. Testing has included submerging and spraying them with water.

If the longevity is there I might offer up limited runs for other teams.

That's a wrap for the Castle Combe Karting Championship 2023. Heading into the final round Mark sitting 3rd in the masters championship with only 4 points separating Barry, Mark and Jeff.

The heats didn't go to plan meaning Mark started on the back row in 10th with a lot of work to do. Barry started 3rd and Jeff 4th.

A good start meant Mark moved up into 4th after the first corner. Barry jumped up to 2nd with Jeff dropping back to 8th. From there Mark managed to make another position eventually finishing 3rd which was enough to secure 3rd in the masters championship.

Kudos to the top 5 drivers, its been a tough season battling with you.

Here are the final finishing positions in the heavyweight class for the 2023 RapiKart Racing League.

In the final race at Herefordshire Raceway Adrian secured a podium by finishing P3 as well as putting in some incredible performances throughout the season. He secured P3 overall in the championship.

Also well done to Seb Miller, Neil Durrant, Gareth Thomas and Graeme Thomas for completing the top 5.

Full race report for the team coming later this week but well done to George for securing a P2 at Buckmore Park in R8 of the SRK Sprint Championship.

Another amazing performance which should keep him top of the SRK2 Driver Standings heading into the final round.

It’s been a busy few weeks for us but back at R7 of the SRK Sprint Championship our driver George had some phenomenal heats to bag himself a place in the A final and be the leading SRK2 driver on the day, he put in a textbook drive to hold that position and came away with the winners trophy! Awesome driving all day!

George is currently sitting P1 in the championship with 2 rounds remaining, keep pushing to bring home the championship trophy.

Good luck to our drivers who are racing at their BIKC regional finals this weekend.

Gino and Ben will both be racing at Cardiff for a chance to make it to the grand final for Juniors and Mark will be racing in Leicester in the heavyweights.

Castle Combe Junior Karting Championship

Last weekend Anderson competed in R5 of the CCJKC and had an amazing day.

Heat 1 - 2nd -> 2nd
Heat 2 - 1st -> 1st
Heat 3 - 4th -> 1st
Heat 4 - 3rd -> 1st

After really strong heat results APW was on the same points as 2 other drivers but had a slightly slower lap time by 0.1s meaning he lined up 3rd in the A final.

A good start meant he was able to keep his position, but a slight contact with the driver behind allowed 1st & 2nd to get a gap. This put 4th and 5th right on his tail for the whole race. Withstanding constant pressure to finish 3rd and a first podium at Castle Combe!!🥉🙌🏻

Amazing result and great to see you take your first (of many) podiums.

We are very pleased to expand our junior team with the addition of Ben Longman who will be joining Anderson and Gino as team mates.

Ben recently took part in the BIKC local finals at Gosport. In practice he set the pace by posting the fastest lap in his practice. However he was unlucky with karts in qualifying and finished P7. The kart was retired due to mechanical issues but left Ben with a lot of work to do in the A final.

In a tough final he did everything he needed to and made up a place to finish P6 and secure his spot in the regional finals in Cardiff.

Ben also got his first taste of outdoor racing at South Coast Karting in Bournemouth where he took part in two adult timed sessions and topped the timesheets in both and got to experience both dry and wet (torrential rain) conditions.

We are looking forward to Ben, Anderson and Gino all representing the team at the final round of the SRK Junior Championship at Buckmore Park.

Anderson Palmer-Wright - Castle Combe Junior Karting Champiobship - Round 4

Heat 1 started P2 finished P1
Heat 2 started P1 finished P2
Heat 3 started P4 finished P2
Heat 4 started P3 finished P2

The conditions were terrible with relentless heavy rain, but some solid heat results meant APW started the B final in 2nd place.

Unfortunately the start was carnage and he lost some places, after the start he was in a battle for 4th. It was a tough battle with the places swapping every lap with both drivers eventually coming out the last corner side by side, APW was on the inside, he got to much wheel spin and was unlucky to not leave enough space.

Unfortunately, but rightly a 2 place penalty was given meaning he finished the B final in 4th but dropped dropped to 6th after the penalty.
