after spending the past few months living in Brazil I became addicted to Footvolley. I played every opportunity I got training under the instruction of local professionals. now I have returned to the UK I aim to bring my new passion to Bristol. well the clue is in the name, it is a cross between football and volleyball. Footvolley originated in Brazil in the 1960's and is taking the world by storm. traditionally played on sand however due to lack of facilities in Bristol we make due using matts or grass. why play? Footvolley has something for everyone, wether you want improve your football skills, stay in shape or just have a load of fun. if any of these sound like you then Footvolley might be your new favourite sport. the sessions
sessions begin with a 15 minute exercise/warm up session. this helps prevent pulled muscles and injuries. next we move on to another 15 minutes of technical training using our feet, knees, shoulders and heads. this is done in pairs. it is important to train both our left and right sides in Footvolley so we are ready for anything. After the technical training we move onto game training. this will focus more on attack/defensive aspects of the game and bringing everything together while playing against eachother. whatever time remains will be spent playing actual games against eachother. for some this is just a chance to go wild and have some fun and for others a chance to get competitive.
