🟠You don’t need to be perfect.
🟠No need to give up everything you enjoy.

Why?
Because the stricter your eating style the harder it is to stick with. Cut yourself some slack. I want you to eat one thing a day purely for enjoyment, something small, a cookie? A piece of chocolate, a kit kat?

🟠This sort of thing we absolutely have space for, every day. Doing this may mean you can feel good about calorie deficit, keep your habits consistent and progress towards your goals.

I’ve been 78kg, obsessed with weight loss, I ran 7 days a week because I wanted somebody elses body.

I was always starving, sometimes I’d faint. Eventually I fell and caused brain damage, which meant I am deaf in my right ear for life.

-This stage of my journey was not health (though it may look like health from the outside).

I’ve been overweight, here I was around 137 kg I shopped in big and tall shops. This t shirt is extra long, sized ###xl (4XL), I thought this was my identity.

I chose to change, but arguably I went too far. See caption 1.

I am currently 92kg, feel energetic and able, I am strong, I visit the gym 5 times a week, teach 20-30 PT sessions a week, and 4 group classes.

My body is able and so is my mind. Sure I don’t have the body of a 21 year old…. Funny that I am 45 🤣🤣

The moral of the story, thin is not healthy. Strong capable and resilient, mentally and physically, that’s health and I wouldn’t change it.

I’ve been there, and I’ll help you to reduce the risks of change so that you too can be confident in your mind, skin and muscles 💪

When being the best version of yourself is the goal, comparison shrinks, and when it crops up you can get back into your own lane quickly.

🟡A lovely message this week from a client that was really struggling with stairs, after a fall in 2020. She would often be resorting to one step at a time and only using one leg to step up.

🟡After 4 sessions of us working together (one of which was an assessment), this client can now climb stairs in a conventional way. She hasn’t been able to do that for 6 years!

🟡Climbing stairs all sounds so simple until it feels impossible.

A huge well done to my client, our body is built to move, it also adapts to new patterns.

🟡If you have been feeling stuck and you are ready to build the steps (and use them) that will take you to where you want to go, reach out.

How much time are you spending outside? The light is changing and that’s bound to mean we have less energy.

How will you take care of yourself this Autumn?

For me this will be about:
Decent amounts of sleep.
80% nourishing foods 20% choice
Moving in a gym.
And spending lots of time outside.

Time and space outside is crucial, time inside is mostly used sleeping and working for most of us.
