5 tips on building a successful PT business🥳
1. Make sure you’re qualified & insured through a recognised provider! Your certificate will be regulated and accepted across gyms, studios and you’ll be able to insurance yourself as a PT.
2. Once qualified don’t stop learning. Complete CPD courses in areas you think will be useful for your business and areas you want to expand your knowledge in. You can also attend webinars & seminars for further learning.
3. Find your niche! Don’t just train anyone, don’t just sign anyone up to a programme because you think it’s good money. If they don’t fit your niche, then they probably won’t be a long term client anyways.
4. If you will be using social media to advertise, have a set plan. Make sure it targets your audience, it’s informative, useful and appealing.
5. All PT sessions and packages should be sold in monthly blocks WITH a contract in place! You can provide a more in depth service this way which will lead to your clients committing. Selling one session, is hard to keep track of progress, no commitment from the client and as there are no regular sessions the client might not achieve their goals. Remember you are running a business, having a contract in place is essential.
Set these standards from the very beginning, not only will you benefit from them but your clients as well!
