Trip out to the Pentrych wreck on 16th August and a lovely sunset on the way back from an early evening dive on 26th August.
Our divers are still making the most of the good weather while they can, we've been out a few times since then but quite a number of dives which had been planned were cancelled due to the wind and rough sea.

This next lot of photos is from a dive on the SS City of Brisbane wreck, about 6nm out from Brighton Marina. The Brisbane was a British Steam Cargo ship. She was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine UB-57 on August 13, 1918, while heading to Buenos Aires. She sits upright in about 20 – 24 metres. Stern is to the North and is broken up. Bow section remains fairly complete but deck area is a mess of wreckage. She is a popular fishing spot so divers have to beware of fishing nets.
In between this dive and the previous one there have been several other reef dives. Our divers are certainly making the most of this weather it's been great this year for diving off our lovely coast, blue calm seas, blue skies and plenty of sunshine. . A beautiful sunny morning trip out to South West Rocks reef in 15m. They saw an abundance of lobsters and conger eels and shoals of different kinds of fish. A very enjoyable easy dive.

- Two dives on the same day, a morning dive on the Vale of Leven wreck, She is lying at about 24 metres to the South of Worthing in the Rampion Wind Farm.
Lots of life on this wreck, many different species of fish and crustaceans and, at the moment, it is possible to enter the wreck if you are very careful.

Then, in the evening, an inshore drift dive on Kingswest Ledges, an underwater cliff line with escarpment face to north. Chalk ledge with an abundance of marine life and an area of scrub along the bottom and fissures across the top. A max depth of 16m. A westward drift on the ebb tide. Suitable for all divers.

Great morning dive on the Looe Gate reef, this runs parallel to the shore about 4 kilometres Southwest of Hove and off Brighton near the Palace Pier. It is officially recognised as a Marine Site of Nature Conservation Importance due to its rare geological structure.
We had a full RIB of eager divers making the most of the calm seas, good visibility, lots of sealife on the reef and lovely weather. They even had a seal encounter. 🦀🦞🐟 Would you like to take up scuba diving, emails us on [email protected]

A bimble out to the Waterford wreck on our RIB from Brighton Marina. A nice dive, all divers were dropped right on the wreck, about 3m viz . A steamship built in 1921, saw action in WW11. Continued as a cargo ship, in 1949 run into a fog bank just off Beachy Head, collided with a large steamer coming in the opposite direction and the Waterford sank. Sits upright and still fairly complete, but starting to open up; brass valves and copper pipes exposed in engine room. Cargo of carpets visible at stern. Lots of sealife to be seen, different species of fish, crabs and lobsters and she is covered in anemonies. contact us on [email protected] if you are interested in scuba diving and would like to see the wonders of the undersea world along the coast off Brighton
