Brighton Cougars We run regular camps in conjunction with Sussex University. We have a broad-based membership of boys and girls from 5 years old through to adult Men and Women.

Brighton Cougars is a community basketball club with local and national league junior squads from under 10 to u18 plus Sussex local teams for both Women and Men. We are currently CLUBMARK accredited by Sport England/England Basketball. Cougars are dependent on the support of a small, but ever-growing dedicated group of volunteers. Funding is provided mostly through individual membership and subscr

iption fees, with additional funds raised through events, camps and sales of merchandise. Brighton Cougars Basketball Club believes it’s important as a community club to be run by a committee chosen buy its members. The committee is elected each year and seeks to make sure the running of the club is open and as smooth as possible. Our Brighton Cougars Women’s team played in the Sussex & Surrey plate final yesterday against Tandridge Stealers, having already won the local league and we are delighted to say WE WON! It was a close game right up until the last five minutes of Q4, but we got some key defensive stops and fast break scores to break the game open. The game MVP was our captain Francesca Pitcher - and deservedly so - I can honestly say that I’ve never seen her block so many shots! She was on a mission for sure 🏀🏆🥇
