The Sussex Swans formed in 1991 and are a founding member team of the British Australian Football League and have always proudly been based in Sussex. Although in initial years the club struggled for many

wins, this was playing in a London league dominated by big London clubs. Some of these big London clubs have folded over the years, the Swans have just gone from strength to strength and always with a strong emphasis on developing the game and non-Australia players. The 2007 season saw the Swans break into a newly formed Southern England Australian Football League (SEAFL) and saw them playing in a losing grand final in the first two seasons. After winning the 2009 pre-season tournament the Swans had to wait until the 2010 season to fulfill the Grand Final dream. The team are still a force to be reckoned with having won the SEAFL premiership a further two times, once in 2012 and again in 2016,. The latter of which took the team to the 2017 AFL Europe Champions League in Amsterdam. 2017 also saw the team develop the beginnings of a women's team, with numbers continuing to grow week on week.

This weekend both teams are heading up to London to face off against the London Swans.

Additionally both teams will be competing for the Sam Dixon Cup in memory of Sam Dixon, a founding member of our Swans teams. The winner will be the team with the highest combined score.

The Men's game starts at 11:00, followed by the Women's game at 12:30. Come up show your support for what promises to be two thrilling matches!

📅 SWANS YOUTH SESSIONS 📅

Reminder we have our next Youth Sessions this Sunday the 21st of June!

We will be running the Youth Session from 10.30am- 11.30am.

These sessions are open to all kids aged 3 - 16, regardless of skill level. Our fantastic team of volunteers will be there to guide the children through a variety of fun and engaging drills.

AFL London - round 7 results!

Fourth game of the season! Although not the results we wanted! Still a very hard fought game from the Men's team against the North London Lions!

Thank you again the the lions for giving us a good fight! And for making the journey down to Brighton!

Welcoming down the North London Lions to our home ground this weekend over at Waterhall Playing Fields.

To face off against our men's team - in their forth game of the season. Ball up will be at 12:00.

Well also be holding a training session for the women's team and anyone who wasn't selected to play. Additionally anyone available to help with setting up for the game, is much appreciated.

AFL London - round 6 results!

Two hard fought games at the weekend, with the weather not fully making up it's mind. But we are proud of both our teams, for the effort they put in on the day!

Another hard game for the women, as they faced off first against the Wandsworth Demons. The scoreboard not reflecting the effort and commitment they all gave!

Whilst the men's team walked away with another win, from their 3rd game of the season! Looking forward to seeing them out again next weekend when they face off against the North London Lions!

The Swans are on the move, heading up to Clapham Common this Saturday to face off against the Wandsworth Demons!

The women's team will be playing first. Ball up will be at 11:30. With the Men's teams game to follow at 13:30.

The AFL London season is ramping up, with both teams heading up to London this weekend, to face off against the Wandsworth Demons! Get up and show your support wether you are playing or not.

Make sure you are around for these games! And come and show your support for the Sussex Swans!

Make sure you get yourselves available for our training sessions during the week. Plenty of opportunities to enhance those skills, whilst being around the people that make this community so great!
