This summer our friends at the Ramblers have been searching for Britain's Favourite Path 2026.

After a public vote, they've announced that a section of the Strawberry Line path near Winscombe in North Somerset has won the title.

The path, which is part of a traffic-free route from the Mendips to the sea, was nominated by Amanda Jane Baldwin who took this wonderful photo.

She said "It's accessible in all weathers, it goes on for miles, it's an absolute pleasure to walk on, it's beautiful and I appreciate the nature all around me whilst on the path!"

If you work, or have previously worked, in the Civil Service or public sector, you could be eligible for membership. This includes many teachers, NHS workers, police officers, firefighters, members of the Armed Forces, local government employees and more.
