🗓 January is categorised as a month for a fresh start, a reset, a month for change, a month to do better & be better but really that's just what society & social external pressures have placed upon us & it's stuck.
🤔 There are so many thoughts swimming around in our heads at the moment right... what's right what's wrong, should I eat this, should I drink that, should I join this plan or this group, what will "shred the Christmas pounds", what will help me lose weight the quickest, how many exercise classes or gym sessions I can squeeze into my week, what should I be doing to reap the most reward & self approval that is craved to achieve that "good start to the year". I'm sure you can relate to one or more of these however I'm here to tell you to STOP. 🤚 Stop overthinking. ⛔ Stop worrying. ⏹
💭 Don't get me wrong a fresh start, a time to review, reflect & adapt to strive for more isn't a bad idea yet there are certain things we need to remember & certain things that maybe just aren't important!
➕ ALSO all this pressure to change/do better may not be right for you & it doesnt have to be!
Look at it this way... January is only 1 month out of 12, so why not think about not New Year New ME but New Year same me! 🥰 Why not simply be proud of you & give yourself the time & consistency your body needs, not everything has to be right here right now, you have time & with time comes consistency, & that is the key factor that is going to make the real difference.
