We are an RYA accredited sail and power training centre too! With over 150 years of history as one of the oldest established East Coast Sailing Clubs, we continue to inspire future generations to get afloat! Nestling on the waterfront in Brightlingsea, Essex not far from the city of Colchester the Clubhouse overlooks the harbour and river Colne estuary. Ideally located for local or distance sail

ing, we run a varied programme of racing and cruising to encourage all levels of skills and boats, and have an active social programme running throughout the year. Through our RYA Training Centre we now offer both Keel Boat and Power Boat Training to members. As such whether you are 8 or 80, we can accommodate you in one of our varied programmes that now include a Foxer Fleet, Women on the Water, Blokes in Boats, Paddleboards and Sonata Graduates alongside our more established Cadet Section, Brightlingsea One Design and Cruiser Fleets including a Dehler 34 and Hunter Sonata fleet.

This race! One of the toughest 💪 narrow waterways, flukey winds and bridges to shoot, we're SO PROUD of our Colne Yacht Club boats finishing 24th and 28th out of 117 entries!

This 24 hour race requires sailing narrow waterways, dropping masts to pass under bridges and the obvious hazards of mallards, reeds and 100+ other competitors!
