This morning, 3 of our Bats took on the Leeds 10K in support of Women's Mental Health.

Meeting people along the way and hearing their stories really opened up emotions and reminded us exactly why we chose to do this. Every step was for a cause that means so much to so many.

All three of our runners worked incredibly hard, supported each other throughout, and represented the team and chairty brilliantly.

Together, we have raised an amazing £1,360 so far, with more donations still coming in after the race!

Hold your heads up high – you've done yourselves, the club, and the cause proud. Brilliant effort from all three of you. 🦇💜

🦇⚾️Brighouse Bats vs Etka Eagles ⚾️🦇

A sunny Sunday afternoon (with a brief 10-minute rain shower thrown in for good measure!) saw Brighouse Bats take on Etka Eagles in what proved to be a closely contested and enjoyable game.

First and foremost, a huge thank you to Etka Eagles. They're a fantastic team who are always welcome at our ground for friendlies, and a side we have the utmost respect for both on and off the pitch.

With Holroyd umpiring solo, both teams made the job much easier by listening, taking on instructions, and showing great respect throughout.

The match itself was competitive from start to finish, with both teams producing some excellent play and keeping the scoreline tight right until the end.

The Umpire's Player of the Match goes to Nuss from the Eagles. A consistently brilliant hitter and an admirable backstop who never fails to impress.

Well done to both teams for a fantastic game played in great spirit.

⚾️🦇 MATCH REPORT 🦇⚾️
Tonight, Brighouse Bats faced Baildon Buzzards, a tough and experienced side.
Unfortunately, a few silly mistakes, some unfortunate outs, and a number of no-balls proved costly for the Bats. Credit to the Buzzards, who were organised throughout and clearly came with a strong, well-executed game plan.
Final Score:
🦅 Baildon Buzzards 17.5
🦇 Brighouse Bats 8.5
Despite the result, Brighouse should be incredibly proud. It's not always easy to keep your heads up when things aren't going your way, but the encouragement and support shown between teammates was fantastic to watch and exactly what this club is about.

Rox never let her head drop, kept battling throughout, and should be very proud of her performance.
