Brighouse Bees Running Club

Bees will once again be laying on a coach for the Great North Run on 13th September.

Departing from the Brighouse Sports Club at 6.30am and dropping off runners near the start.

The coach makes its way to the finish and will return to Brighouse that evening.

The cost is £30 per person and is open to anyone wishing to attend, whether you are a runner or spectator, club member or not, everyone is welcome.

We have plenty of seats available, if you are interested then please send John a message on 07831 322402.

Willow Valley Flyer 2025 update:

Sadly our preferred weekend for the Flyer 2025 has been jumped on by a couple of marathons, both London and Manchester (and now Blackpool) chose to push us out of our slot.

We looked at other options around our weekend but other local runs were already dropping in to the calendar.

We have therefore made the decision not to hold the Willow Valley Flyer in 2025.

We wish all of you who are running elsewhere the very best of health and hope you achieve your running goals.

Looking forward to 2026.

With other races and events happening on the same day, signs-ups for the Hopton 10k are lower than we expected at this stage.

Organising the Hopton 10k is a true labour of love. We’re a very small team of volunteers, and we put our heart and soul into this event each year. All funds raised go straight to Hopton Primary, where the race starts and ends. Some schools are really struggling right now, and Hopton Primary relies on the money we raise.

We still have 50 spaces left to fill, so this is where we really need your help.

🏃‍♂️ If you’ve been on the fence about joining us, please consider signing up. It’s a gem of a race, we think you’ll love it.

📢 If running isn’t an option for you, spreading the word would mean so much. Please tag a friend who might be interested in this fun, friendly race through beautiful woodland and countryside.

You’ve had the photos, you’ve seen the results, now for the donation!

Tonight we have made a transfer to Overgate in the fantastic sum of

Afternoon all, well wasn't that an AMAZING Willow Valley Flyer today, hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
