It was a treat to be down in North Wales at the weekend helping a client complete an ascent of Yr Wyddda (the tallest mountain in Wales). As you can see, we were spoilt with the views 🀩

Our next guided walk up Scafell Pike is on Saturday 27th June. This route heads in from Wasdale, one of the finest valleys in the Lake District. This is also the most direct route to the summit, so ideal for novice hikers or those not wanting to walk miles and miles.

It's raining! 🌧 But don't let that make you think the outside adventures have to be put on hold!

Get yourselves a bespoke ghyll scrambling session booked up and make the most of the fact the water is flowing. You won't regret it - it's amazing fun! πŸ₯³

It was super to spend the day above Buttermere with staff from Clive Owen LLP. The company does a yearly charity walk, and this year they chose the Red Pike to High Crag skyline.

It's always a pleasure to be able to guide on these quieter fells, and the group loved their walk too.

Big thanks all! 😊

It was great to get my brand new Amplux 2 out on the fells for the first time. Technically a trail running shoe, but as someone who likes to hike in lightweight trainers, they seemed ideal.

So far, so good! Grippy, comfy and nice and light πŸ‘Œ

The weather up here in the Lakes has been scorching the last few days, and Tuesday was particularly warm! I was very lucky to spend pretty much the whole day outside enjoying the weather as Abi and Anna wanted to complete a whopping 24 peaks in one single push.

A couple of years ago they'd tried this challenge. And for various reasons, didn't complete. Determined to not be bested by this, they got in touch with me to guide them.

We set off from Honister at 2:30am, and it was already fairly warm and before long we were in t shirts. We picked off the first 4 peaks well, and enjoyed the sunrise from Great Gable. We descended to Styhead and then climbed to Lingmell, followed by Scafell Pike. We hopped along the nearby summits, but by the time we got to Rossett Pike it was getting really hot.

The girls had done a super job to this point, but you just can't beat the heat. Our pace slowed as a result, but we still swept up the Langdale Pikes. After Sergeant Man we dropped East onto Calf Crag and then Steel Fell. We dropped down the BG route to Dunmail where support met us with food and fluids.

We had just 4 peaks to go, but a massive 700m climb up Dollywagon Pike to tackle first. The girls had to dig really deep, physically and mentally, but we did make it up.

We kept our heads down and took in Nethermost Pike and Helvellyn, and then finished the 24 on Helvellyn Lower Man. Challenge done! Time to descend. The sunset was glorious, and around 11pm ish we finished at Swirls car park.

An amazing day out with two very determined people. They gave everything and it was special to be part of. Well done both πŸ’ͺ

Awesome times with James today as we went and ran the Tea Round. The Tea Round is a 46km loop with over 3000m of ascent which bags all the summits that could be seen from the cafe that used to be upstairs in the shop.

James lives in the Midlands, and although an experienced trail runner, didn't have any knowledge of the route so got in touch with me to guide him.

We set off at 6:20am and completed the route in 10 hours 51 minutes. The weather just got better and better as the day went on too which was a nice treat!

Big thanks, James! And well done πŸ’ͺ
