Mixed fortunes for Brigg Hockey Club on the opening day of the new season 🏑

Two wins for the Ladies as the 1sts saw off Tadcaster Magnets 2-0 at home, and the 3rds battled to a 3-1 win away at Alford & District. The 4ths came up short away at Scunthorpe, going down 3-0.

On the men's side, the 1sts shared the points in a 1-1 draw with Wakefield, while the 2nds had a tough afternoon away at Sheffield, losing 4-0.

🏑 The 2026/27 season is here!

It's finally time to get back out on the pitch — our opening fixtures of the new season are here, with both home and away action this Saturday 12th September.

🏠 At home: Ladies 1st host Tadcaster Magnets (12:15) and Men's 1st take on Wakefield M2 (14:00).

🚌 On the road: Ladies 3rd travel to Alford & District, Ladies 4th head to Scunthorpe, and Men's 2nd make the trip to Sheffield.

Best of luck to all our teams as the new season gets underway — safe travels to everyone heading out on the road, and we'll see the rest of you at Brigg Recreation Ground!

🏑 Welcome back to Brigg Hockey Club for the 2026/27 season!

Whether you're a returning player or thinking about joining us for the first time, there's a warm welcome waiting for you at Brigg Hockey Club this season.

All training sessions are held at Brigg Recreation Ground, off Wrawby Road — see our weekly schedule below for session times.

New to hockey? No problem — we can provide sticks for anyone who fancies coming along and giving it a go. We're a friendly club with teams to suit everyone, for experienced, competitive players to those just looking to try something new, get fit, and enjoy a relaxed social club environment.

Brigg Hockey Club would like to extend our sincere condolences to everyone at Brigg Town Football Club CIC following the sad passing of Andrew.

🏑 Adult Hockey (13+) is Back at Brigg! 🏑

We’re excited to announce the return of our fortnightly hockey training sessions, starting Monday 20th April, 19:00–20:30 at the Recreation Ground, Wrawby Road.

Whether you’re a regular player, looking to get back into the game, or just fancy a fun way to keep fit — these sessions are for you. Open to adults and ages 13+, with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and plenty of opportunity to get involved.

We know exam season is approaching for some, but it’s a great way to get some fresh air, clear your head, and enjoy a run around.

👉 New & returning players all very welcome!
