Been a long season, worth it for the last few weeks🙌🏼 to a man the squad have shown up and delivered something none of us expected this season, the clubs first ever treble.

A huge thanks goes to everyone for their support, whether it’s sponsorship, helping out when we’re short on numbers or even popping down to Scawby for an afternoon to support the lads, it really does mean a lot to the club!

We will have coverage of presentation night in a few weeks (once we get round to organising one👀), but a brilliant season and one we’re all proud of!

This is just the start for this squad, bring on Division one next season.

MATCHDAY EVE!

Back in action for 1 final time tomorrow afternoon at the Fortress, Scawby Playing Fields.

Get down to support the lads if you can, be great to get a good number down before the celebrations begin.

Be good to see as many current and former Ensians players down there as we receive our first league title for quite some time and all 3 of our trophies will be presented to commemorate the clubs historic treble.

Ben Lingard with one and a brace from returning ex Skipper Luke Boden. A comprehensive win with no real risk of conceding, 1 point in the next 2 games needed for the title!

MATCHDAY!

Thursday night saw a 10-3 demolition of Scotter United Reserves, 4 goals from Ben Lingard (shock), 2 from James Jackson, then one each for Harley Brydon, Tiger Lake, Mike Farmery and finally a first goal of the season for winger Jake Law!

The Ensians now require 4 points from their remaining 3 games to clinch the EC Surfacing Division 2 title and a historic club treble.

Them 3 games begin today, with a tough away trip to New Holland Villa, a team we have competed with a lot over these last few years, and by no means an easy fixture.

2pm Kick off @ New Holland Rec Ground.

AFC Lochran 1 - Briggensians 5

3 points at the Co op! A dominant display away at AFC Lochran with a brace each for Ben Lingard and Luke Hargraves and a first goal of the season for Sam Benson, who scored directly from his own 18 yard box! After Brigg Town Colts’ 4-3 win tonight, we now have 4 games in hand, with 7 points required. A tough ask given our final run in, but a challenge the lads will have a real go at.

Back in action on Thursday night at Scawby as we face Scotter United Reserves.

Hard to keep up with the socials when we seem to have a game every 48 hours at the minute! Since the last update following an impressive win away at Brigg Town Colts, these have been our results.

AFC Crosby 3 - Briggensians 0

A difficult afternoon for the lads at co op pitches, never got firing, tired legs and an opposition who were very up for it, fair play to them, blew the race for the title wide open with this one.

New Holland Villa 0 - Briggensians 3

Back to winning ways on a Tuesday night as we travelled to New Holland, no referee fancied the job so it fell to the New Holland management. A brace for Ben Lingard (shock) and a goal on return from injury for Chrissy Rodge.

AFC Crosby 1 - Briggensians 6

After the disappointment at Co-Op the week before, the lads turned up away at AFC Crosby on the Saturday with a different mindset, firing on all cylinders, we won 6-1 and have set up a very good chance at the clubs first ever treble. 4 more goals for Ben Lingard, 1 for Charlie Bradley and 1 for Joe Stothard.

League table is below, we are back in action tonight for our first of 3 games this week! Away at Co op pitches v AFC Lochran, games in hand start now..

Well what an interesting 7 days for the club, after last weeks cup triumph against Manor Park CF, the Ensians have had 2 league fixtures in quick succession.

On Saturday, the lads travelled to Grimsby with a squad full of tired legs and new signings helping us out, 3 nil down after 70 minutes it looked like we were on for our third loss of the season, but a Ben Lingard double and a debut goal from Brad Doncaster meant we ended up coming away with a very valuable 3-3 draw.

Last night, we travelled to Brigg Town Colts, facing a team at the top of the league, we came out strong and after Brigg Town Colts keeper was sent off for handling the ball outside the box, we continued to apply pressure and came away with a 3-1 win. James Jackson following up his cup finals goals with 1, and Ben Lingard netting his 48th and 49th goals of the season, taking him 23 goals clear of the second highest scorer across both leagues.

Back in action on Saturday @ Co-op pitches as we face AFC Crosby.
