The Colts kick off pre season with two impressive wins.
First we visited Dudley Town Robins, who have just finished 8th in division two, after a season of complete dominance in the league I wanted to give the boys a test and setup friendlies against teams from div 2 and above.
A great start to the game saw us leading 2-1 at the break, a dodgy penalty call giving the home side a way back into the tie, we pushed on in the second half and it wasn’t long before we increased our advantage and reinstated the 2 goal cushion to lead 3-1, then a bit of a collapse, we lost some aggression in our play and sat to deep allowing the home side to draw the game level, 3-3 with not long left to go, but the boys went up a gear pushed back high and started to play the football we all know they can, H grabbing his second of the game 3 minutes from time to give us an overall deserved win.

On to last night and we welcomed the newly crowned division two champions Old Wulfrunians North to the rec in our biggest test yet

The boys were fantastic, everything we’ve worked on from day one, every instruction we ever gave them, they put to work in a awesome 60 minutes of Withymoor dominance, a real statement result against a side who will be competing in division 1 of the SDYFL next season
Very proud of the boys this week that much so I’ve given them a night off training this evening! 😂
