Day 22 💜

22 days.
22 runs.
110 kilometres completed.

This morning’s run gave me my 3rd fastest mile so far, but this challenge has never really been about pace.
It’s about purpose.

The photo attached was taken a few years ago before me, Calla and Alfie took on Snowdon to raise money for Dravet Syndrome UK. Looking back now, it reminds me how much this journey has shaped all of us as a family. 💜

There have been hospital appointments, sleepless nights, seizures, medications, fear and uncertainty… but there has also been love, laughter, strength and memories we will never forget.

I’m incredibly proud of both my children.
Alfie has grown up seeing a side of life many children never have to experience, yet he continues to be caring, patient and protective of his little sister every single day.

And Calla… she continues to inspire me beyond words.
Every run, every mile and every post is for her and for every family living with Dravet Syndrome.

We keep going.
For awareness.
For support.
For hope. 💜

Day 21 💜

21 days.
21 runs.
105 kilometres completed.

Some days are faster than others.
Some days feel harder than others.
But every single day has a reason behind it… Calla.

Today’s photo is one of my favourites because it captures something so simple, yet so important… joy. 💜

For all the appointments, hospital visits, medications, sleepless nights and seizures, there are also moments like this.
Splashes in water.
Giggles in the sunshine.
Pure happiness doing one of Calla’s favourite things in the world.

That’s why we keep going.
Not just to raise awareness for Dravet Syndrome UK, but to fight for more moments like these for families living this life every single day.

Since this challenge started, Calla has faced more seizures, more rescue medication and more battles than most people will ever see… yet she still smiles, still laughs and still inspires every person around her.

So Day 21 is done.
Another 5K complete.
Another step forward for awareness, understanding and hope. 💜
