Very Proud Of This One!!

Abs took part in the Race For Life today and absolutely smashed it!!

She's been working so hard on her fitness journey, and it's showing off.

Not only has she now lost a total of 7 stone, but she's managed to knock 20 minutes off for her 5km runtime, completing it in 28 minutes.

A new PB and a massive congratulations for all the hard work she's put in.

ANOTHER MOUNTAIN TICKED OFF⛰️

Really into my hiking and solo trips lately, so took myself to Cadair Idris n spent 2 nights solo camping!

Set myself a challenge at the start of the year to start living more n doing things that I wanna do n I'm loving it!!

This mountain was more of a challenge than I expected, due to having a very busy week beforehand, not getting enough rest, food n the fact that 50mph aren't your best friends at the top of a giant hill🤣 but... I pushed meself after about 600m of pure steps, which had me quads burning🔥 n I completed it🤪

Onto the next'un!!

Katie's been working solid in n out the gym, getting closer to her goals every day!

I remember when she first started attending my classes when she started the gym and seeing her progress has been brilliant over previous months. She has come very far, working hard on her diet and training, as well as having a family to look after and a full time job! Super Woman over here🦸‍♀️

Here are a few words from her -

'I joined the gym in November 2023, and having spent many months aimlessly milling around the machines and attending random classes, I finally started to train with Dan as my PT in Sept 2024.
Dan has been amazing, giving me structure to my sessions, pushing me to and past my limits and the confidence to train on my own. Now I can see the results which I was missing before 😀'

MY TRANSFORMATION...

The left picture is me, this time last year.
I had just finished my bulk and weighed 106kg.
I was meal prepping throughout the week but let myself eat whatever I wanted during weekends, not tracking calories at all.
I had very low energy and had bad knees due to my weight.
My body fat percentage was high, and I wasn't happy with how I looked.

The right picture is me in July.
Here, I had dropped my bodyweight down to 90kg and was currently maintaining.
I meal prepped from Mon-Fri but kept track of my calories daily.
I had way more energy and didn't have any aches or pains.
My body fat percentage had dropped massively, and I was a lot happier with how I looked.

WHAT A CLASS!!!

The turn out for yesterday's bootcamp was absolutely insane! Everyone gave 110% effort and bought great energy.

If you're looking at joining this class each week, I'd book on early as the spaces are getting filled quickly. The more the merrier!

In this video, I am performing a conventional lat pulldown where my hands are in a neutral position. This variation, targets the latissimus dorsi and biceps, as well as engaging the rear delts and rhomboids. This movement is very similar to the wide-grip, in aspects of bringing the bar down to the same position, as well as keeping control on the way back up. However, this version of lat pulldown allows you to lift a heavier weight compared to the wide-grip movement.

The Lat Pulldown has many different variations, which target different parts of your body.

In the video, I am performing the wide-grip pulldown. This exercise is great for targeting the latissimus dorsi as it has more emphasis on them. It takes some of the tension off the biceps and middle back, engaging the lats more. As you can see, I bring the bar down to the top of my chest and hold the reps for about a second in order to squeeze the muscles that are being used. I then take the bar back to the starting point with control, which is keeping tension on the muscles used.

LESS THAN A WEEK TO GO!

SUNDAY CLASS 2024 IS COMING!!!

Starting January 7th 2024, myself ( ) and Charlie ( ) are going to be running a Sunday morning functional/bootcamp style class at 9:30am-10:30am.

This class will alter week on week between both the functional area as well as the studio.

Also, this will be added to the timetable soon so keep an eye out for it and make sure to book yourself in!!!!!
