🚴‍♂️⚽ THE CAREFIT 200 – PLEASE SUPPORT US! ⚽🚴‍♂️

12 riders. 2 days. 1 challenge. 1 big goal. 💪

I'm taking on The Carefit 200 — a huge cycling challenge visiting every football ground in Lancashire to raise money for Carefit in the Community CIC, a local community wellbeing hub based in Harle Syke.

Carefit is now open and supporting older adults, people recovering from strokes or injuries, those undergoing rehabilitation, people experiencing mental health challenges, and anyone who needs extra support with their physical and mental wellbeing.

We’re now raising money towards £11,000 of specialist exercise equipment, which will allow Carefit to provide even more activities and support to people in our local community.

Our initial fundraising target is £5,000.

🚴 THE CAREFIT 200

DAY 1 – 100 MILES (Fri 18th Sept)
Burnley → Fleetwood Town → Blackpool → Preston North End → Wigan Athletic → Bolton Wanderers

DAY 2 – 100 KM (Sat 19th Sept)
Bolton Wanderers → Bury → Oldham Athletic → Rochdale → Accrington Stanley → Blackburn Rovers → Burnley (Back in time for the Derby game! 🍻)

100 miles + 100km = The Carefit 200!

It’s going to be a huge challenge for all 12 riders, covering some serious miles over two days and visiting football grounds right across Lancashire.

For many of the riders, the challenge is also being completed in memory of loved ones who are sadly no longer with us, making this a very personal challenge as well as an important fundraising event. ❤️

Hi all,

On Thursday 16th May, I along with over 30 cyclists, most of them fellow Clarets, will be taking part in the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal – Lakeland Adventure. The challenge is to ride 200 miles in three days, starting and finishing at Turf Moor and including a loop around the Lake district in between. The riders are collectively aiming to raise a total of £10,000!

As I’m sure you already know the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal is dedicated to raising awareness of the disease and saving lives. Offering prostate cancer testing at venues throughout the UK, the mission is to check as many men as we can through a blood PSA test.

The company I work for, Senior Aerospace Weston's, recently held a testing day where a total of 130 men, 70 employees and 60 men from the local community were tested. 9 men were advised to seek further testing, potentially saving their lives.
