🌟 An invitation from Sensei Jake Birkett 🌟

Did you ever go to Bridport Aikido Club, or are you interested in trying out a taster session for free? I'm also encouraging and would love past members to return, or who may want to give it another go (adults only).

Jake’s teaching style over the years has allowed him to work with you and your level of abilities, fitness and health.

Jake holds a 4th Dan in KSMBDA, a Ki-style of Aikido, and has been training continuously since 1997 — that’s 29 years of movement, learning, and teaching!

For anyone thinking about starting a new skill such as a martial art:
“There’s no need to wait for a mythical ‘great health and fitness day’ — just come along and give it a go!”

Whether you’re looking to improve your fitness, gain confidence, learn self-defence, or simply try something new, Aikido offers something for everyone.

Bridport, 13 June: KSMBDA Aikido Seminar at Bridport Leisure Centre.

On Saturday 13th June, Bridport Aikido held its annual training seminar, joined by members from both the Swindon and Bristol clubs.
The training focused on both empty-hand techniques and Jo staff work, with everyone enjoying the four-hour session.

Afterwards, some of the group took the opportunity to enjoy the sea air and some traditional fish and chips in West Bay.

Summer Aikido Training

Over the last week, both Bridport and Eden Aikido have combined their training sessions, giving students from both dojos the opportunity to train together. The unique outdoor location of Eden Dojo has allowed everyone to enjoy the fresh air and benefit from the cool evening temperatures.
