Grasshoppers Away…

The Bridgwater Wolves Adults travelled the massive 50 metres from their home pitch to face Grasshoppers away in the Britannia Lanes Taunton and District Saturday Football League (22/01/22).

In a physically tough test, The Wolves battled with an enterprising and ambiguous side and overcame any threats posed early on.

At the end of the game, The Wolves had managed to have an amazing 10 different goal scorers in a well deserved win.

First Up and in order of scorers was Kyle Winter followed Ashley Mills, George Turner, Jake Adey, Connor Watts, Ronnie Robilliard, Brad Walford, Nial Carr, Paul Goss and finally Harry Durant.

Man of the Match was a difficult decision with the players votes ultimately being shared between George Turner and Kyle Winter.👏👏🐺

Squad…
Ronnie Robilliard, Luke Taylor, Kyle Winter, Bradd Hayes, Will Bryant, Brandon Ham, Jake Adey, George Turner, Romano Henderson, Connor Watts, Ashley Mills, Harry Durant, Nial Carr, Trafford Cooper, Brad Walford and Paul Goss.

Intermediate Cup

The Wolves played their first game of 2022 in a home fixture against Pen Mill Utd in the Somerset Intermediate Cup on Saturday (15/01).

The visitors started the game sprightly with some quick intricate play with The Wolves having to adapt and adjust accordingly.

Late in the first half, Wolves possession paid dividends with a fine team goal - Kyle Winter on a mazy run, fed George Turner whose reverse pass fell to Ashley Mills to finish superbly.

With a change of personnel, The Wolves took control of the game with 2 well taken goals from Luke Taylor, 1 drilled effort from Connor Watts before Niall Carr treated us to the individual goal of the day with a sublime curling effort from just outside the box.

Cory McKay, although still to score his first Wolves goal racked up another Man of the Match award from his peers with a non stop, industrious display in the middle of the park 🐺
