This talented group of players secured promotion to Division 1 and are preparing for an exciting new challenge, but we're still missing one key position.

We're excited to be recruiting players for a brand-new Wembdon Girls U11 team! 🙌

We're looking for girls who are currently in Years 4 and 5, who will be moving into Years 5 and 6 in September, to become part of our new squad.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brand-new team, make new friends, develop football skills, and be part of an exciting journey from the very beginning 💙⚽

💙⚽ Under 13 Saints – VPR Tournament Runners-Up ⚽💙

A huge well done to our Under 13 Saints who enjoyed an outstanding day at the VPR Tournament, reaching the final after a series of fantastic performances 👏

Drawn in a very strong group, the boys showed great quality, determination and teamwork throughout the day, topping their group with an unbeaten record before progressing through both the quarter-final and semi-final stages 💪⚽

The day ended with a hard-fought final against a very strong Bristol side. While the result didn't quite go our way, the boys should be incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented Wembdon throughout the tournament.

To reach the final in such a competitive field is a brilliant achievement and another example of how far this team has come. After securing the league title and promotion to Division 1, they continue to make the club proud wherever they go 💙

Well done players, coaches and supporters – a fantastic effort from everyone involved 👏⚽

What a day for our Under 9 Saints! 👏⚽️💙🥾

The team completed an incredible 6-mile sponsored hike, showing fantastic determination, teamwork and plenty of smiles along the way. There was even a football match at the halfway point to keep everyone entertained! 🙌

Thanks to the amazing support from family, friends and the local community, the team have now raised over £2,500 for the 2026/27 season 🎉

This money will go a long way towards helping provide opportunities and experiences for the players throughout the year, and everyone involved would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored so far 💙

A special thank you also goes to Sundowner Beach Cafe Bar for their continued support over the years and for providing food and drinks for the children at the finish line. Your generosity is greatly appreciated 👏

Most importantly, it sounds like everyone had a fantastic day – players, parents and even the dogs! 🐶💙

The team now look forward to a busy few weeks with summer tournaments, Presentation Evening and a trip to the inflatable water park in Bristol still to come ☀️⚽️

🏆💙 VPR Tournament Winners 💙🏆

A huge congratulations to our Under 10s who represented Wembdon brilliantly at the VPR Summer Tournament on Sunday ⚽️☀️

The team took two squads to the tournament, with all players giving their absolute best in some very warm conditions and showcasing the fantastic spirit, teamwork and determination that has been a hallmark of this group all season 👏

The Saints team enjoyed a particularly successful day, progressing through the group stages before producing a series of excellent team performances in the knockout rounds to bring the trophy back to The Green 🏆💙

While the result is a fantastic achievement, what makes us most proud is the attitude, effort and sportsmanship shown by all the players throughout the day. They represented Wembdon FC brilliantly and should be incredibly proud of themselves.

A big thank you to VPR for hosting a well-organised and competitive tournament, providing a great day of grassroots football for everyone involved 🙌

The boys can now enjoy a well-earned summer break before returning for pre-season training in August.

🥾💙 Under 9 Dragon’s Sponsored Hike 💙🥾

What an incredible achievement from our Wembdon Under 9 Dragons! 👏🐉⚽️

On Saturday, the team took on a challenging 5.8-mile sponsored hike across the beautiful Quantock Hills, tackling steep climbs, river crossings and woodland trails along the way.

The walk took an impressive 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete, with every player showing fantastic determination, resilience and teamwork throughout the challenge. We are incredibly proud of them all! 💙

A huge thank you must also go to the parents and families who joined in and supported the event. Grassroots football simply wouldn't be possible without you 🙌

The Dragons have now raised an amazing £2,265 through sponsorship over the last three months! 🎉

The money raised will help provide:
⚽️ Additional specialist coaching sessions
⚽️ Tournament opportunities
⚽️ Team social events
⚽️ New kit and equipment

After a short break, our Under 6 New Starters sessions return tomorrow and we can't wait to get back out on the pitch! 🙌

We've had some fantastic sessions so far, with lots of smiles, plenty of energy and some brilliant future footballers taking their first steps into the game ⚽️
