A big thank you to club member Nicky of Nixy's Boutique for hosting our fashion evening, and to Sally and Jenny for being such fabulous models.

The fashion show was followed by refreshments and a raffle. Great fun and lots of laughter 🤣 All money raised will go to club funds.

Bridgwater Tennis Club held their annual open mixed doubles tournament on Sunday 🎾

12 pairs from 8 different clubs competed for the Hedley Warren Cup 🏆
Chard Tennis Club, Avenue Tennis Club Burnham, Wedmore Tennis Club, Congresbury Lawn Tennis Club, Winscombe Tennis Club. Somer Valley Tennis, Bridgwater Lawn Tennis Club, Woodland Tennis Club

A delicious lunch was prepared by club members Penny, Debbie and Jan alongside a great selection of homemade cakes, thank you ladies!

Congratulations to the overall winners Alex Cole (Somer Valley) & Jon Doel (Congresbury)🥇🥇and runners up Clare Gass (Wedmore/Avenue) & Mike Robinson (Wedmore)🥈🥈

Many thanks to all helpers, competitors and supporters for making the day such a success. A special thank you to Jeff our referee, and to Carole for her hard work in making it all happen.

Well done ladies! What a treat to play on grass too 🎾

The Somerset Women’s Over 70s travelled to Worthing this week to take on Sussex on their beautiful grass courts 🌱☀️

In a wonderful example of true tennis spirit and sportsmanship, the team were faced with an injured player but, rather than concede the match, Sussex kindly lent Somerset a player so the fixture could be completed 👏

What a turnout! 🎾 Sunday’s Open Day was a massive success, and we were blown away by how many of you showed up to give tennis and pickleball a try. Thanks for making it a hit! 👏
