Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club are based in Bridgwater, Somerset. We have excellent facilities both for Rugby and social events.

We field three senior men's teams, a women’s team and youth teams from ages 4-18 (Girls & Boys). We field two senior men’s teams in various leagues, a Women’s team and have an active Youth section encouraging children from 5 to 18 to get active in Rugby Football. We are able to cater for events such as weddings, conferences or meetings and can seat up to 250 people.

🔥 Coaching Announcement 🔥

In addition to retaining Rob and Gav we are excited to welcome two new coaches to the set up.

Luke Payne returns to his boyhood club in the role of Assistant Coach, Backs and Attack Coach. Luke spent several successful seasons as Attack Coach at Gordano RFC, as well as coaching at Bridgwater College where he coached many of our younger players and colts.

Harry Wilson joins us as Forwards and Set Piece Coach, following his move from Saracens to Exeter Chiefs. Harrys' top level playing and coaching experience will no doubt take our forward packs to another level.

The club are excited to have been able to put together such a qualified group of coaches and we can't wait to see the rewards through our on pitch performances.

🔥 Coaching Announcement 🔥

Following a period of negotiations we are excited to begin announcing our coaching set up for the 26-27 season.

We have retained the services of Rob Allen as Head Coach and also formally welcome back Gav Hancock as our Skills and Defence Coach.

The club thank both Rob and Gav for committing to the club for another season as we look to bounce straight back in to Counties 1.

Please have a think about joining our community help page, a chat where we seek help with tasks big or small.

“A club without volunteers is no club at all”

This group will be used to post about any help the club needs.

Including but not limited too; Physical Labour, Kit management, Digital tasks, Trade jobs, Cleaning & More. If you can ever spare even just 10 minutes please join!

Messages will be posted out with ‘job tasks’ and an opportunity for you to vote/commit to helping. Any jobs that have multiple volunteers come forward, as co-ordinators we will delegate tasks or decide to go with “many hands make light work”. Link below and in the comments

📢 COMMUNITY HELP 📢

There is some soil that needs to be moved and raked around the edges of our new car park. If any players/members/members of the public could help this Friday at 5pm (19/06) and bring equipment such as shovels, pick axes, rakes, we would be very grateful.

Alternatively, if anyone would loan a mini digger on a voluntary basis for an hour or so, please let us know in the comments.

Preparation for next season is well underway.

Following a winter of poor and extremely wet weather during which our pitches took some significant wear and tear, we ask politely for anyone using the club to stay off the Main pitch for the foreseeable future.

We have recently undertaken pitch repairs and re-seeded the pitches ahead of next season, we need the new seed to take hold and any damage caused at this early stage will mean pitches will not have a chance to recover ahead of the new season.
