Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club are based in Bridgwater, Somerset. We have excellent facilities both for Rugby and social events.

We field three senior men's teams, a women’s team and youth teams from ages 4-18 (Girls & Boys). We field two senior men’s teams in various leagues, a Women’s team and have an active Youth section encouraging children from 5 to 18 to get active in Rugby Football. We are able to cater for events such as weddings, conferences or meetings and can seat up to 250 people.

Bridgwater & Albion RFC v Wellington RFC.

As part of preparation for the new season which starts late this year on the 26th September Bridgwater took on the lads from Wellington in a friendly runout.
Bridgy took a very large squad of over 30, to give all those available some game time.
The game was split into 4 periods of 20minutes play
Wellington opened well and took the game to Bridgwater scoring 2 tries in the first 20 minute session.
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters were controlled by Bridgwater coming from behind to gain a well deserved narrow win.

Sad Loss of Committed Supporter & Volunteer
All members of Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club are saddened by the announcement of the death of our loyal supporter& volunteer William(Bill) Russell.
Bill was a popular, entertaining & regular visitor to the club in company with his son Angus & daughter-in-law Ria, who in turn have been long-term & excellent sponsors of the club through their former business, Britannia Lanes. Despite his advancing years, Bill was always willing to help the club in any way possible & so when a vacancy for fixtures secretary arose several years ago, he seized the opportunity & took up the post willingly. Now if anyone thinks that this is an easy job, with South West RFU prescribing the fixtures & dates, this overlooks the work which is still required to fulfil the games. - contacting the opposition; agreeing the kick-off time; liaising with the referee, etc.; & much more, particularly when a cup match was on the cards. Bill undertook all of these duties with some aplomb & efficiency & was always able to savour the successful conclusion of the matches with a well-earned drink & joining in the celebrations or commiserations.
Bridgwater & Albion salutes Bill’s attachment & commitment & sends it sincere condolences to Angus Ria & their family for a life well lived.

Ideal for someone who just wants to work now and then or more consistent shifts if someone wants more!

Well presented, friendly, customer service orientated people required to have fun and enjoy their time behind the bar.

Must be reliable

Over 18's only

Paid via PAYE into your account weekly

No experience necessary as full training given. (above credentials more important!)

Pleased to announce the starting of the season for our youth with our registration day on Sunday 6th September!

🏉Never played before? Don’t worry we’d love to have you! New players are always welcome, come along and have a “try” completely commitment free.

🏉Ready to sign on? Team managers will be on hand to help allocate your little ones to the right age group and get them set up to an online registration.

🏉Can’t make the day? No worries, come along to the next weeks training session and there will be just as much support and just as much fun!

Also don’t forget there is no summer rugby this Sunday evening, so rest up, chill out and we will see you on the 6th! Please share and help us recruit as many wonderful young people as we can! ⤴️
