Hi all, we're receiving lots of enquiries every day about how to fish the Sanctuary and availability. Please can I direct you to the website link below where it explains everything in detail.

In short, all bookings for 2026 are gone and availability for 2027 will be announced on this page next March.

Customers will be pleased to hear we are having a brand new 400 metre access track laid to the fishery 💪🙏🙏

To be fair, the existing track wasn't too bad, but the pot holes were starting to open up a bit .... in fact, it was getting almost as bad as our public roads 🫣🤣🤣

So you'll now have the usual bumpy ride dodging all the pot holes along the public roads, but a lovely smooth transition to lac du paradise 😘

Not every fish is huge in the Sanctuary, but they're all very special and hand picked from the best of their year class on site.

Here's Ben Pester with one of my young stockies from yesterday. At 21lb 2oz probably the second smallest in the lake, but growing rapidly and a beautiful example of the special Sanctuary bloodline ❤️

I've just realised I haven't put an image on this page of Gary King's capture of 'The Monarch' from yesterday, and seeing as this page is linked to my Sanctuary website, it would be rude not to 😉

Just 3 weeks after Rocky coming out at fifty-plus, we now have another contender to the throne! The Monarch at a staggering 43lb 11oz and not even 9 years old! 😮

Gary also had fish of 31.04 and 28.14 during a hectic afternoon spell of a day only session!

*** IMPORTANT UPDATE ***

We've had a huge response from anglers wishing to book a lake exclusive slot since the new Sanctuary website went live on Wednesday. Thank you 🙏 your support has been most appreciated👍🏻

By the time I contacted those who supported us in 2025, there were only 4 slots available!! (Subject to deposits being paid). I've tried to be as fair as possible by operating a first come, first served policy, and as many of you will know, I've contacted you to put you on the waiting list.

We hope to open up more slots in time and of course, we have the new (unfished) lake, which is maturing at an alarming rate. But for now, I'm still trying to keep fishing to a minimum with plenty of 'non-fishing' gaps in between. There's no doubt the fish, the wildlife, the fanuna and the environment all benefit greatly to a balanced approach and I'm not tempted to increase profits to the detriment of this wonderful habitat.

Thanks once again for your support and I'm still busy returning emails and messages, so please bear with me for another 24 hours.
