THE FIRST 18 INCHES OF YOUR SWING ARE RUINING EVERYTHING.

After 20,000+ online lessons, this is one of the biggest mistakes I see.

Most golfers focus on where the club goes.

Very few focus on how they’re moving the club.

If your wrist angles are poor relative to the grip in the takeaway, you’ll spend the rest of the swing trying to recover.

This drill changes that.

By feeling like you’re pushing down on the grip with your lead hand and pulling up with your trail hand, the club works deeper, the face stays in a stronger position, and you’ll build the wrist conditions that make the rest of the swing much easier.

Stop forcing an inside takeaway with your arms.

Create the right wrist angles, and the club will naturally move into a better position.

You’re not trying to manipulate the club.

You’re learning how to move it correctly from the very start.

Save this drill for your next range session.

I don’t get to play as much as I’d like these days, but when I do, getting to experience courses like Riviera is pretty special.

An incredible golf course with so much history. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to play it.

Huge thanks to everyone for the warm hospitality and for having us out. It was a day I’ll remember for a long time.

A few highlights from an amazing week with at the Curtis Cup.

Some weeks are just an amazing experience, at an amazing venue, meeting great people.

Really proud of the way Davina competed, carried herself, and embraced the occasion. Every experience like this is another step forward in her development.

It’s been brilliant to see the progress over the last few years, and this is just the beginning.

An exciting journey ahead, and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.

YOU’RE NOT STUCK.

YOU JUST DON’T HAVE A PLAN.

After 20,000+ online lessons, that’s the biggest thing I’ve learned.

Most golfers spend years bouncing between YouTube videos, Instagram tips, and random swing thoughts.

They don’t need more information.

They need a roadmap.

That’s exactly what online coaching gives you.

I thought I needed a bigger turn.

What I actually needed was less sway.

Most golfers think they’re turning in the backswing.

They’re not.

They’re sliding off the golf ball, loading into the outside of the trail foot, and making it almost impossible to shift pressure properly in the downswing.

The result?

❌ Poor contact

❌ Loss of power

❌ Inconsistent low point

❌ Blocks and hooks

This simple drill teaches you how every great ball striker stays centred, loads correctly, and creates a backswing that actually allows them to rotate through the ball.

Stop trying to make a bigger backswing.

Learn how to make a better one.

3 simple driver fixes to help your slice 👇

Most slices come from a combination of path and face.

Start here:

👉 Ball position and tilt

For a right-handed golfer, let the trail hand run slightly down the trail leg at setup.

This creates tilt away from the target and encourages the club to travel more to the right, rather than cutting across it.

👉 Release the club earlier

A lot of golfers hold on too long trying to stop the ball going left.

Feel the clubhead passing the hands sooner to help square the face.

👉 Check your lead wrist at the top

Many slicers have a cupped lead wrist relative to their grip, leaving the face too open.

A flatter wrist often makes it much easier to return the face square.

Small changes. Big difference.

Save this and try it next range session.

Working on staying down through the ball, adding side bend and rotation, and reducing early extension.

Simple drill 👇

Hover the club a couple of inches above the ball at address and make swings from there.

This creates instant feedback.

If you stand up, lose posture, or early extend, you’ll struggle to return the club to the ball consistently.

This helps:
👉 maintain posture through impact
👉 improve side bend and rotation
👉 create more compression
👉 reduce early extension

Great session with a student working on some really important pieces.

Better posture + better rotation = better strike.

This is how all tour pros rotate in the backswing.

Most amateurs sway off the ball or collapse into the lead leg trying to make a bigger turn.

Simple drill 👇

Pull your lead foot back into a step-in stance and make backswings.

Instantly you’ll feel the turn coming more from the hips and pelvis instead of sliding.

This trains:
👉 better hip rotation
👉 less sway off the ball
👉 less collapsing into the lead leg
👉 improved pressure shift into the trail side

The goal isn’t to move laterally.

It’s to turn, load pressure into the trail side, and stay structured.

Learn to rotate first. The rest gets much easier. Thanks for content inspo.
