Once pupils reach Grade 4 ballet they are invited to join Pointe class. They work on demi-pointe until they are ready to progress to Pointe shoes.

All the exam results from our December session have been given out, so I'd like to say a massive congratulations to everyone. You all did a fantastic job and got marks to be really proud of, as am I!!

An extra mention to Pippa who got 90 for Primary ballet, Elsie who got 91 for Primary ballet and Ava who got 90 for Grade 3 tap. ☺️

Happy New Year!!!!
Come trial our dance school in 2026.
It's only £1 per class for the first three weeks!!!
Now that's not because I'm a new school, we've been operating since 2008, or we don't have many pupils, there's over 100 enrolled in the school ranging from age 3-20, or not because we have a low standard, we take IDTA exams and many of our pupils excel in their exam results, but it's because I believe dance should be available for all. My love of dance started when my mum took me to class age three, I'm now 44 and can't imagine doing anything else!

Just a reminder that the dance school is now closed for the Christmas break. We return from Monday January 5th 2026.

Some pupils may have changes in January due to exams and moving up classes etc. If that is your child you should be aware of this, but if unsure please let me know. I have sent an email reminder out and this includes the updated January timetable.

What a day!! Well done to everyone who took their exams yesterday. Lots of smiley faces leaving the exam room after a job well done. This time is was Preparatory level up to Grade 4, with a mixture of tap , ballet and CMJ. ☺️

DANCE EXAM CHANGE!!!!!! Emails sent.

I've just received a phone call from the IDTA, our examining body. Unfortunately Miss Latham, our scheduled examiner, is ill and unable to come on Saturday. Very luckily we have been found another examiner, but in order for her to be able to come we have had to move everything back by one hour. I appreciate this isn't convenient, but when given the choice of the exams happening with an hour delay or not happening at all, I went for the delay option.

I tried to figure other options out, but it's not going to work, so everyone's exam is now one hour later then originally scheduled. For example, if you were at 10:30am you are now at 11:30am. Please still arrive 30 minutes early if hair is ready and 40 minutes if needing hair. I have sent the revised exam timetable via email to all concerned.

Sorry again to everyone, but there was no way I was disappointing the children and pupils and not having the exam session after all the work they had all put in.

Please can you respond to the email or here to acknowledge you have seen the changes.

With the Community Hall having maintenance on the floor this week, we used St James Hall for classes last night. The Grade 2's adapted well to having a chair as their barre and as we did a combined Grade 4/5 ballet class we worked on some non-syllabus steps.
