Bryngarw Country Park welcomed almost 50,000 people during July and August 2026, as families and other visitors made the most of the sun over the school summer holidays.

Almost 24,000 visits were recorded in July, followed by nearly 26,000 visits in August, marking one of the busiest seasons for our award-winning green space since the Covid pandemic.

The children may be back in school but now the countdown is on to October half term 🎃

The Halloween Pumpkin Trail returns this year from Saturday 24th October to Sunday 1st November running from 10am to 3pm daily.

🎟️ No tickets required

Age guide: 3 to 9 years, pram and pushchair friendly, running time: 40+ mins. Entry is £4.50 per child and includes the activity sheet, a small prize and a chance to win our Halloween Hamper.

Sid is a trainee at B-Leaf and Wood-B, and works at Bryngarw Country Park cafe on a Tuesday, and we are so proud to have him as part of the team.

Being able to offer trainees paid employment opportunities means so much to us, so pop into the cafe if you have a chance, you're guaranteed a very warm welcome and a great coffee from Sid!

Babies love music and your voice. Come along to Bounce and Rhyme sessions for the very youngest members of your family. Join in with old favourite songs and rhymes and learn new ones – don’t worry, a good singing voice is definitely not a requirement! Bounce and Rhyme sessions are also a great excuse to get out of the house and meet like-minded parents and carers.

Tickets are FREE but booking is essential. ONLY attending babies/toddlers need tickets. Age guide: 0-3 years.
