Congratulations to Nate Salvatore and his team mate Mari Pritchard on winning Gold in the mixed pairs section at the Yate Target Sprint event. Further congratulations to Nate on winning Gold in the Junior Men's section as well.

Thanks to all at the Swindon Open for a great day out. Congratulations to Aaron for coming first in his category, and to all the winners. Well done to everyone for taking part.
Although Aaron was our only winner on the day, we all enjoyed the competition, the food, the drink but most of all the company. Roll on the next Open.

Well! The Bridgend and District Air Rife League (B.A.D.A.R.L.) shooting season is nearly over. The three leagues have been completed and the final positions sorted.
I am very proud to inform you all that the Porthcawl Air Rifle Team (P.A.R.T), the competitive team of the Morgannwg Target Sports Club (M.T.S.C.), finished in first place in all of the three leagues.
The Phillips League is a seven from ten shooter league, where the top seven scores from each team of ten, are used to finalise the score.
The Stockwood League is a pre-match nominated, six shooter league.
The Perring League is a handicapped League again with the best of seven from ten shooters taking part. Pre calculated individual handicaps are added to the shooters score to finalise the overall team score.
Matches are fiercely contested some results as close as 0.8 in the Phillips League, 0.2 in the Stockwood League. Iln the Perring League, only four points separated the five teams. The Perring League went right to the wire, with the final nights matches determining the league positions. We needed a win against our nemesis, The Mules. The final score of this match was the Mules 249.7 and Porthcawl 249.9, a match win and the league secured.

The League season may be over but shooting at the M.T.S.C. range continues. We are always looking for new members.
Target Shooting is not a male only or a male dominated sport. Ladies, you are more than welcome, some of the best shooters in the club are ladies. Ladies and Juniors regularly compete against and beat the Gentlemen. We have father and son, father and daughter and husband and wife combinations, competing with and against each other. We are still awaiting some mother and son/daughter combo’s.
Age is also not really a limiting factor. We do stipulate an over 10 years of age policy but the top end is open, with shooters of eighty years still competing.
M.T.S.C. are currently running Open Sessions on the second Tuesday of each month at the Kenfig Hill Social Club. Five targets and twenty-five shots for £3. All equipment provided. Come along and give target shooting a try.
If you enjoy the thrill of hitting the target and would like to progress your skill, we offer a beginner’s course of four weeks tuition for £16. Again all equipment provided. Tuition given By N.S.R.A. trained Club Coaches and Instructors.
