Nantwich & Border Counties Sailing Club A family orientated sailing club offering a range of water based activities and social activities. We also have a large boat park for storing member's boats.

Set in an area of great natural beauty in the Doddington Estate, Cheshire, we are a friendly, family club. We offer all types of activities from sail and powerboat training, to paddle boarding and kayaking. We have a comprehensive formal sailing calendar which includes leisure sailing on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons, a Junior Club, Taster Sessions, and a full racing programme on Sund

ays. Safety boat cover is provided for formal sailing activities and members are also welcome to make use of the club’s amenities at other time. Amenities include changing rooms and toilets, a member’s galley, inside and outside seating areas plus a BBQ facility. We also have a fleet of club dinghies that members are able to use. We have a full racing program with Fleet and Handicap racing from March to December on Sundays and host Open Meetings for a number of dinghy classes, plus a National Championship. Great session at Dodd Squad this morning despite the high winds. Nice to see a couple of the parents taking to the water on paddleboards whilst the children were sailing. ⛵️

What an amazing day at the Club for our Bank Holiday Picnic at the Lake.

Lovely to see so many families and friends enjoying the lake with their paddleboards, kayaks and boats.

Great to hear our more experienced sailors sharing advice to our newer sailors.

Lots of laughter and smiling faces, as well as a few squeals whilst people were enjoying cooling down with the Dodd Squad water pistols!

Having rigged the boats to sail, and drifted around in their boats for the first half of Dodd Squad yesterday, lack of wind meant we had to change our plans. The Dad’s sprung into action and blew up the paddleboards whilst the children had their snack. The second half of the session saw the children practising their balance skills, competing to be the last person standing whilst throwing sponges and squirting water pistols! Lots of laughs and cooler children. Congratulations to Fin for being the last person standing!

Great day at Shotwick Sailing Club for our sailors attending the Borders & County Midweek Travellers event today. Congratulations to Pete for first overall and to Thomas for first junior and 8th overall. Thanks to Shotwick Sailing Club and Dave for organising this event. We can’t wait to see how our members do at the next event at Shropshire Sailing Club on 16th June!
