Well that was a busy month ๐
First event of the month was Tartan Pro Tour at Pollok which was disappointing to say the least. A terrible first 6 holes seen me well out of contention and unfortunately a missed cut. Thoroughly enjoyed my first outing on the tour and looking forward to playing more events in the coming months.
Next was the Deer Park Masters qualifier which brought some tidier golf, it was nice to prove to myself that I can go away to a course Iโve never seen before and post a good number. Really looking forward to going back to play in the two day event at the start of August ๐ฆ
Last week it was the PGA Assistantโs Championship qualifier at Cowglen. A very untidy round of golf with some unusually slack iron play seen me sneak in with a score of +2. The British Championship is a 3 day event down in Surrey and one that Iโm really looking forward to, the 8 hour drive down, not so much. ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ
Monday seen me tee it up at Barassie for Regional Qualifying for the 151st Open Championship. Tough conditions and a cold putter seen me card a +5 for 44th place out of 150. Already looking forward to trying again next year.
And last but certainly not least in amongst all the above was the birth of my daughter Emily who decided to make an appearance 3 weeks ahead of schedule ๐ a truly life changing experience becoming a Dad and something that has changed me for the better already. Slightly less time for golf now they say ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Thatโs me now back to work and my lesson diary is open for all those looking to get booked in. Letโs see what July brings ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ
