No game this weekend for the boys but we managed a get together for the boys, to spend some time together away from the pitch..

We also carried out our Annual Festive Raffle draw, congratulations to all the winners and thanks to everyone who contributed with prizes.

A good first half to the season and the boys will be looking to kick on in the second half and be challenging come the end of the season.

We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎅🏼🍾⚽️🇱🇻

Bannockburn 2-2 SBC Red
Bannockburn 4-2 on pens

An excellent cup tie to brighten up a miserable morning yesterday, as both teams went toe to toe in round 3 of the Scottish Cup.

It was the visitors who started brighter and looked the hungrier of the sides in the opening 1/4.
Burn would open the scoring though, after Tyler’s perseverance down the left, saw him square it to Calum to finish.
We hoped this would settle the boys but unfortunately we hardly got a breath and SBC were level. This rocked the boys and the visitors took advantage and go in at half time in-front, after some confusion in the box allowed the attacking player to nod into the net.

HT 1-2

The boys knew what was required second half and they had more intent in all parts of their game after the restart.
Chances would come and go before Calum returned the favour to Tyler by putting in a great ball and Tyler managed to fire home.
Burn looked the most likely to get a winner but the visitors still carried a threat on the break.
Both teams had big chances in the final minutes, but it wasn’t to be.

FT 2-2

Pens would decide this tie and it was Scotty who would make two big saves. 4 well taken pens by Harris, Joe, David and Cole would see the boys through to R4.

Helix 1-5 Bannockburn.

Burn made it 4 from 5 in the league as we picked up 3 points away to Helix on Saturday.

A slow start saw the hosts take the lead but we soon got into our stride and started to convert our chances.
Second half was one way traffic and but for the Helix gk we could’ve grabbed a few more goals.

We also concluded our last one standing competition this week, after the final two standing decided to split the pot.

Well done to John of the 2017s and Ryan of Diageo and thanks to everyone who took a shot in the competition 👍🏻🇱🇻

Scottish Cup action this week as we host Scotland Boys Club of the CLYFA A division.

Bannockburn 5 v 1 Blantyre Celtic

Slow start, but the boys kicked into gear and managed to get some control on the game, after going a couple up.

A long 15 months out, but he has done the hard work to get back on the pitch and the boys were delighted to see him back out there 👌🏻⚽️
