Mixed results at the weekend with the 1s winning a thriller in a game that looked like the hosts would take it, until a superb spell of 5-36 from Piggy and a great all round performance from Faulks turned the match in our favour to win by 8 runs!
The 2s unfortunately lost to in convincing fashion, winning the toss and being bowled out for 111 in 30 overs, it was always gonna be a tough ask for Ross’ boys to restrict Danbury!

🏏 CRICKET IS BACK (Next Week)🏏

With both games today cancelled due to the weather, it’s a perfect time to look at our two teams for this coming year!

Both teams will be led once again by Dan and Ross, who look to build on two solid seasons at the helm last year

The 1s remain in Div 2 looking for yet another solid season at the highest level the club has ever played at😍

The 2s return to Div 9 which is a successful stomping ground for the team with a title the last season we played in the division, so let’s hope Ross can lead the boys to victory again🤞🏻

This week both teams hope to play their 2nd fixtures in the league this season.
The 1s have a nice long trek to Burnham looking to follow up on their good win against Springfield last week.
The 2s have their first game at home this season as they face Danbury, looking to bounce back after last weeks loss to St Andrews

With an extremely tough week availability-wise we did exceptionally well to get two sides out.
The first team got off to a slow start but managed to scramble to 156 off their 45, which was followed by a superb performance in the field bowling Springfield out got 142
The seconds faced a strong St Andrews outfit and the depleted side were bowled out for 74, with the oppo chasing it down for the loss of one wicket.
Both teams now look onto this weekend, with a long away trek to Burnham for the 1s, as the 2s face Danbury at the Green x

Tomorrow brings the season opener for both teams, as they both venture into new divisions after a double promotion last year!
The 1s take on Woodham Mortimer Away, and the 2s are at home to South Loughton, so get down to the club and support the boys as they kick off their seasons!
