Huge congratulations to U20 Max Sanderson who finished 2nd in the Essex 5000m championship which was held at the very familiar Brentwood track tonight. A great run from Max in a competitive field saw him finish in 15:10.7.

In other great news - James Connor collected the Essex 10k Road trophy tonight following his Essex win at the weekend in High Easter. James has also qualified for the England Masters V40 team at an upcoming event in Shrewsbury. An amazing achievement.

And we also saw a brilliant run this week from Yr 6 Isabelle Holme who won the ISA National 600m race in a PB of 1:49.18. Well done too to Yr 6 Colm Forrest who also picked up a PB over 600m at the same event - 1:54.18 and a PB in the howler of 35.94m. And to Yr5 Anaiya Obika who had a great long jump of 3.15m at the final.

Well done all. Thanks to for Essex photos

Congratulations to our Beagles in action on Saturday - another day of super results!

At Bedford International Stadium the Southern championships saw U18 Evie Warn pick up the bronze medal for her 2000m steeplechase. Taking place during a downpour of rain, Evie battled well to finish in 7:25.0. Also at the event was U18 Lewis Ton who made his debut in the 2000m steeplechase and showed real resilience to keep going despite a fall, finishing with a PB in 8:12.19.

In Loughborough for the BMC, U20 Max Sanderson won the 3000m with a strong performance of 8:29:39. Whilst in the 1500m, U14 Madison Kindler ran 4:30.29, U16 Heidi Woodley ran 4:38.01 and U14 Sophia Davies ran a new PB of 4:38.10.

And closer to home, Will Gazzard finished a brilliant 10th in the Orion Forest Five event with his run of 32.53.

Well done all.
