A much tougher evening on Lake of Menteith Fisheries tonight - the wind picked up and swung 180 degrees, but 58 anglers caught 173 fish for a rod average of 2.98.

Congratulations to the Tartan Tyers on taking top spot this evening with 34 fish for 68lb! With 28 fish for 56lb, the Military Veterans FF take second, and with 25 fish for 50lb, the Menteith Ospreys. These 3 teams head to the Airflo Open Final in October!

Harelaw FF and Neilston Fly Fishers both qualify for the Airflo Shield Final in September!

Our next and final heat of the year is in Ireland, Lough Lene 21st June!

Congratulations to the Balfron Piscatorials on taking top spot at the Airflo Open DAY heat at Lake of Menteith Fisheries today! They managed a total of 70 fish for 162lb to take top position. Close on their heels in 2nd were FNF Falcons, with 66 fish for 161lb! Snowbee Alba Cats took 3rd place, with 58 fish for 131lb - The top 3 teams head to the Airflo Open Final in October.

In 4th place with 61 fish for 126lb were Fire Cats and Black Bull FFC in 5th with 48 fish for 100lb. Both these teams qualify for the Airflo Shield Final in September!

Menteith fished brilliantly with an excellent rod average of 8.11 between 54 anglers, a total of 438 fish were caught and released in a full C&R match.

The evening heat anglers have gone out, and we can already see fish being caught! Lets hope the weather holds off and the fishing stays as good as it has been throughout the day.

Airflo Open Heat - Lake of Menteith 11th June - Boat Draws

Tomorrow we host the two Scottish heats at the Lake of Menteith Fisheries 🎣

The two heats will be fished to the following rules:

Day Heat Fishing Times: 09:30 - 17:00

Evening Heat Fishing Times: 17:30 - 22:00

As per last year, we will be fishing to full catch and release.

Limit: Full Catch and Release - 12 fish limit / Time 2nd fish caught AND 12th fish caught.

Bonus: Time of 2nd and 12th fish to be recorded. Bonus 2lb Per Hour, 2lb Per Fish released.

Hooks: Barbless or De-barbed flies for the duration of each heat.

Congratulations to the Welsh Pirates on taking top spot at the Airflo Open heat at Llyn Clywedog with 79 fish for 168lb 2oz! Cwm FF take second place with 74 fish and the Flyshop Welsh Hawks take 3rd with 69 fish for 150lb 6oz. The top 3 teams head to the Airflo Open final in October!

Llanilar AA and Valleys Commandos qualify for the Airflo Shield Final in September!

Our next heat is this coming Thursday at Menteith!

Airflo Open Heat - Llyn Clywedog Boat Draw

Tomorrow we see 9 teams competing at the 4th Airflo Open Heat of 2026 at Llyn Clywedog, looking to secure their places at the Shield Final and Open Final later this year!

They will be fishing to the following rules:

⏰ Fishing times: 09:30am - 5:00pm
👜 Limit: 16 fish limit / 2 fish kill - 14 catch and release
(Only rainbow trout are to be dispatched. All other trout will count on your card as c&r fish (tigers/browns/spartics))
🤛 Bonus: 2lb per released fish, 2lb per hour
(Barbed hooks ARE allowed on catch and release)
📏 International Rules - Roly Poly allowed
