Rugby training on Sundays will restart outdoors at the Rugby club from 1st March 2026 between 11am and 12pm. New Players always welcome between 2 to 11 years old. Just turn up and play, first two training sessions are free to try.

New addition to Brechin Adult rugby training: casual touch rugby.
Touch is ideal for players recovering from injury or returning to the game. Also new players are very welcome:

Any gender and any fitness level.

Brechin RFC, Cookston Road. Monday Adult training:
7-8pm rugby union training
8-8.45pm touch rugby.

First three sessions are free, then you will need show that you are a member of a rugby club. This does not have to be Brechin. RFC.

Game Day for our P1 to P7's at Strathmore RFC in Forfar. It's a 10am meet for a 10:30am KO. As always at Strathie get there early because parking is at a premium because all local teams are competing in the tournament this morning.

Important Note. Rugrats is on at the Rugby club tomorrow at 11am. All other players from P1 to P7 are away at Strathie for a tournament KO 10:30am. Please by there before 10am as parking may be problematic.

*Exciting News*

We are 1 of only 10 clubs in the Tayside and Angus area who have been successful in the Cash for Kids sports challenge. We have to raise as much money as we can between now and 13th October to be in with a chance of winning more money for our club. We have got some pretty big competition so the mission is on!!

The first thing we would ask everybody to do is share this link everywhere you can think of and asking everybody you know to make a donation -

We then have a number of dates for your diary -

- 21st September- our home game where we are having a bake sale and bbq - if we could have as many bakes made as possible that would be amazing and if there is anybody could help with the stall that would be great.
- ⁠27th September - maisondieu primary are holding their fun day at our pitch so we are holding a refreshment stall. If anybody could spare a little bit of time even an hour to man the stall.
- ⁠Saturday 4th October - coffee morning and craft fayre (details to follow once I’ve sorted them out!!) and family quiz night at the bowling club - all welcome to both these events - invite your friends and family.
- ⁠Sunday 5th October - adults v kids rugby match and sponsored event. This is looking like a sponsored laps round the rugby field which we are just finalising. It will be something everybody can get involved in and we will be running the bbq and refreshments for a day of fun.
- ⁠11th October - tombola and raffle - I’m hoping at the Coop but this might be in a different location. If anybody has any bits and bobs we can add to the hamper or tombola that would be amazing.

I know this is a lot of information and a lot for us as members to take on but ultimately it is about us as a club being together and taking on this challenge. By doing this we can buy new equipment and resources for the children and hopefully make a start on developing our club building.
