A great weekend at Knockhill Racing Circuit for “Carnegie Fuels” duo Bruce Birnie #79 & William Monie #1. Bruce flew solo on Saturday and despite some really blustery weather conditions qualified 2nd on the grid and ended the day with two solid 2nd places. William joined us on Sunday and despite having to start at the back of the grid in the first race fought his way through to 2nd behind Bruce who finished in 1st!!
The final race of the day saw another podium for both, with Bruce finishing 2nd and William 3rd. A great end to the season especially for William as it was his first competitive race this season and for Bruce finishing runner up in both the Scottish and Knockhill Championships.
A big thanks to “Carnegie Fuels” and to everyone who helped our team throughout the season, roll on 2026 for some more!! 🏍️🏁😜

It was a very wet 100 lap endurance race for all on Saturday!!
William Monie #1 rode the first 25 laps and despite a poor start when the bike failed to fire up right away William put in some fast lap times to get within 10 seconds of the race leader before Bruce Birnie #1 took over for the next 25 laps after the mandatory pit stop. Bruce rode well also putting in fast laps times despite the worsening weather conditions. Unfortunately Bruce only managed to complete 20 laps before the race was red flagged due to two riders crashing out. After a delay it was decided to cancel the remaining part of the race due to weather conditions and declare a result with our “Carnegie Fuels” team being declared the winners!! Thanks to “Flat Out”, “Knockhill” and “Rose Monie” for the pictures!! 😀🏍️🏁

A busy weekend at East Fortune Racing Circuit for “Team Carnegie Fuels” Bruce Birnie #79.
Qualifying didn’t go quite to plan ending up 2nd row / 5th place on the grid giving him more work to do from the race starts over the weekend. Bruce however pulled out the stops as usual and finished two races in 2nd place the other race in 3rd.
The last race of the weekend was the 17 lap “Steve Hislop Feature Race” but unfortunately for Bruce his grid position was drawn way down in 22nd place out of 26!! However, he fought hard the whole race (as he does) and finished up in 3rd place with only 10.5 seconds between him and the race winner, so a great effort!!
Next planned outing for the Team is the Endurance race at Knockhill in a couple of weeks time where William Monie #1 should be joining us as well!! 🏍️🏁😉

A busy few days for “Team Carnegie Fuels” at Knockhill Racing Circuit with Both Bruce Birnie #79 and William Monie #12 helping out with rider training on Thursday evening and Bruce staying over to compete in the weekends racing. Friday as well as Saturday morning were spent “dialing in” a new race bike and although it was used for qualifying, the faster pace highlighted a few small issues resulting in Bruce qualifying on the 2nd row in 4th place which wasn’t ideal so it was decided to revert back to his trusted S1000RR for the rest of the meeting. This turned out to be a good decision as his lap times improved and some great dicing on the race track took place resulting in four podium places out of four races - 2 x 3rd places and 2 x 2nd places. Looking forward to our next outing at East Fortune in three weeks time!! 🏍️🏁😜

A decent points weekend for Bruce Birnie #79 at a sweltering hot East Fortune racing Circuit. Some problems settling the bike on Saturday resulted in two 3rd places but after some changes were made the bike felt much better resulting in a solid 2nd place on Sunday!! Looking forward to Knockhill in a couple of weeks time for some more!! 🏍️🏁😜
