🏊‍♂️ MAKING A SPLASH IN AND OUT OF WORK! 🏊‍♀️

Did you know that some of our amazing Unity Splash team spend their free time supporting competitive swimming across the region?

Kelly Podbury, who works at Unity Holidays and Unity Splash, is the driving force behind the planning, organisation and delivery of the annual Somerset & Gloucester ASA Masters Swimming Meet.

This year, Kelly was joined by fellow team members Ruby Soper, Activities Team Member and former Lifeguard, and Tristan Soper, current Lifeguard, who not only helped support the event but also competed in the meet themselves!

The event brought together swimmers from across the South West for an afternoon of competition, achievement and community spirit.

We’re incredibly proud of Kelly, Ruby and Tristan for their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to swimming both in and out of the workplace. Well done to all involved! 👏

Ready to take the plunge into a new skill? 🛟

This February 2026, Brean Splash is hosting an NPLQ Lifeguard Course, giving you a nationally recognised qualification and the confidence to work poolside in a fast-paced, fun environment.

Running from Monday 16th to Friday 20th February, with assessment on Saturday 21st February, this course is open to both external candidates and existing Unity Splash team members.

You’ll gain hands-on training, vital lifesaving skills and a qualification that opens doors to lifeguard roles across the UK. If you enjoy being active, working as part of a team and keeping others safe, this could be the perfect next step 🏊‍♀️

Places are limited and subject to interview, with full attendance required.

Brean Splash is now closed while we begin a full refurbishment across Brean Splash, Brean Play and B-FIT, ready for a brand new experience launching in March 2026.
