To all teachers and students...have you heard of the newly launched Celebration Day writing competition? ✍️

The Day challenges 5-18-year-olds (and their teachers! 🧑‍🏫 ) to interview the oldest people they know and pay tribute to the lives of those who made a positive impact on their childhood.

Brooke was at Trent Valley Kart Club (TVKC) for Rd 3 of the winter series at the weekend! Practice day was wet and windy (again)! But Brooke showed good pace all day! Timed qualifying at the end of Saturday and Brookes flying lap was looking good for top 10 place, but unfortunately was pushed off track on the last corner 🙁 and this also resulted in her being out of time for another lap so placed 22nd for Sunday. 😡

Race day was dry for her 2 heats but starting from near back was going to be tough one and hit off again in heat 1 resulting in her being placed 24th for the final!

A heavy downpour just before the final saw a mix of drivers on slicks and wets on the grid. Team decided to go with slicks - and with the track drying quickly, Brookes pace got better all the way through to the chequered flag, gaining 10 places to finish P14! A brilliant drive and a top effort from all in the awning to change from a wet setup to dry in a few minutes! Also great to see the support on the grandstand! Couple of weeks off now before Whilton Mill 👌

👌🏻, hoping for a better day after being took out on the penultimate lap yesterday in quali, on a better note Brooke got to meet (W Series driver and stunt driver) so ended the day with a big smile 🙂

A wet and windy weekend at Shenington Kart Racing Club - SKRC" as we battled Storm Dennis and survived 💪

Saturday pratice went very well, with Brooke showing great pace in the wet!

Race day and P1 for the first heat, got a great start and was pushing away with another kart for the 1st 2 laps until the motor decided it didn't want to run anymore so out of the race 😤! H2 and starting at the back, another great start gained 2 places on 1st lap -was chasing down 6th,but then lost all grip off the tyres and managed to hold onto 7th.

This put Brooke P8 for the final - a great start again had Brooke in the mix for the top 5 after 2 corners but sadly was pushed out in the Stratford hairpin, engine cut out and after she got started again was over half a lap down! But she battled back taking two places back and again showing some great pace in the tricky conditions!
