Book for 5-aside at £20 per hour. The pavilion can be hired for £10 an hour making this a great place for children's parties, after school clubs and corporate

events. Block bookings are available for club nights and regular training sessions. The court has been made possible by the substantial support of Branston Ltd and Wren who have match funded reserves set aside over several years by the Parish Council, for which the Council is very grateful. Wren is short for Waste Recycling Environmental Limited, a not-for-profit business that helps to redistribute landfill tax to benefit the lives of people who live close to landfill sites by awarding grants for community, conservation and heritage projects.

Work has started on our improvements at the recreation ground so the car park is now closed until the 11th April. This also has sadly meant that the cricket nets have had to be closed. Sorry for the short notice and hopefully all those affected have been notified.

Hi everyone,
We are planning on re opening the Astro Court in Branston as from Monday 29th⚽️

The proposed guidelines appear to replicate the previous ones in that it can only be used for organised sport so we will take bookings from Lincs FA or Mid Lincs League affiliated clubs.

That unfortunately means we are still unable to accept casual bookings. We will continue to review the situation and keep you updated.

For those of you able to play, then the same system applies as before, same number to text, same key code.

Great to hear the Parish Council are going to be updating the facilities at Moor Lane Recreation Ground. This includes new stand alone changing facilities, complete refurb of the pavilion and automated security barriers.

⚽️Just for the avoidance of doubt, due to the latest government guidelines, the astro court at Branston is now closed to all users.
We will obviously monitor the current situation and announce the reopening at the appropriate time.

⚽️ Unfortunately, due to the latest Covid restrictions, we have to close the Branston Astro Court to all adult teams. It is not something we wanted to do but is necessary in the current climate.

The good news is that we are able to stay open for the Under 18 teams, so long as the training is organised and you are appropriately affiliated to the Mid Lincs League/ Lincolnshire FA.

All bookings in the usual way, via text and we will get back to you asap.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for bearing with us in these difficult times while we attempt to find a new clerk and introduce an easier booking system for you.

We hope the current temporary system is working for you.

By way of a reminder for everyone, in order to comply with the current guidance we can only accept bookings from teams affiliated with the Lincolnshire FA, Lincs Sunday League or Mid Lincs League.

As soon as the tier system is reviewed and we are allowed to relax the rules we will be looking at throwing the facility open to everyone.

Please note the booking phone is not monitored 24/7 but all text messages will be responded to as soon as is possible.

Important Update

We will open the astro court from tomorrow but only for organised outdoor activity. In relation to football, this means you should be affiliated to either The Mid Lincs League, Lincoln and District Sunday League or Lincolnshire FA. This will ensure the user is accredited and will have had to risk assess their training in relation to covid issues.

The price will be £10 for the existing junior team users and £15 for seniors.

The procedure will be to text the current number with your booking request. You will receive a confirmation text that will include a PIN number. The PIN number will be for a key box located on the wall of the Parish Office at 17A Church Road in Branston.

Make sure you have a torch on your Mobile phone to potentially assist in seeing the numbers.

Please leave your cash in the key box when you collect the keys and floodlights token from the key safe.

At the conclusion of your session you may be asked to either pass the keys and a token onto the next user if someone is immediately following you, OR return them to the Parish office and put them through the letterbox. You will be notified either way.

This process is being adopted until we initialize an online booking and PayPal payment system with PIN Access to the facility.

We are pleased to announce that the Astro court can now be used for football again, however it is your responsibility to ensure that the latest government guidelines are adhered to.

Please be aware of the following summarised guidelines. A full copy will be provided to each person upon booking.

⚽️ The changing rooms are not currently available therefore all players should arrive changed and shower at home

⚽️ Everyone must self-assess for COVID-19 symptoms before every session. If you are symptomatic or living in a household with possible COVID-19 infection you must not participate or attend

⚽️ Max group size of 30 people

⚽️ Social distancing must be adhered to before and after matches, and in any breaks in play

⚽️ Everyone should sanitise hands before, during any breaks and after any game or training session

⚽️ Ball handling should be kept to a minimum, with most contact via a boot and the ball should be disinfected in breaks of play

⚽️ Youth football coaches are encouraged to limit persistent close proximity of participants during match play and training

⚽️ Goal celebrations should be avoided

⚽️ Equipment should not be shared and goalkeepers should ensure they disinfect their gloves regularly in breaks in training or matches, and thoroughly afterwards

⚽️ Participants should follow best practice for travel including minimising use of public transport and walking or cycling if possible. People from a household or support bubble can travel together in a vehicle

⚽️ Coaches should keep a record of attendees at a match or training session, including contact details, to support NHS test and trace

In accordance with the government guidelines the following must be adhered to:
- those using the court should be members of the same household OR 1 other person from outside of your household
- You should maintain the 2m social distancing at all times
- Limit sharing equipment
- Practice strict hand hygiene and wear gloves if necessary
