Finished the season off nicely by winning the Hospital Cup. Well done Captain Kevin and the Pickles! 🥒 a great game against Eastgate. Well done to them for getting to the final in both the Hospital Cup and the Diamond Jubilee Trophy.

Well the Branston Pickles have only gone and done it!
We won the semi final 3-2 against Helpringham and Brumby Hall beat Burton House 3-2.
In the final we played Brumby Hall and won on 3 rinks, drew on one and lost one, making us Champions of the Ron Kitchen Trophy. We are very honoured to take home the trophy, thank you to Gary Kitchen, we will take great care of it for you.
All teams played very well.
A big thank you to Swineshead Bowls Club for their hospitality.

Meanwhile Stephen Bowden and Kevin Lewis, from Branston represented Lincolnshire as part of a team against Nottinghamshire and won 126-110.

They are now Francis Burton Midland Counties EBA Champions.

Lincolnshire last won this title in 1941!

What a massive achievement. Well done to all Lincolnshire bowlers involved.

Branston has a couple of busy weekends ahead of them.
Saturday 1st August we will be in the semi-final of the Challenge Bowl (Club Team Championship) against Royal Mail Cart at 10am at Mareham Le Fen. The other semi-final is Cleethorpes against Horncastle.
Saturday 8th August sees us travel to Swineshead in the semi-final of the Ron Kitchen Memorial Trophy against Helpringham at 10am. The other semi-final is between Brumby Hall and Burton House.
Spectators welcome at both venues!

Sunday 26th July saw these four Branston bowlers attend the County EBA semi finals at Blackstones, Stamford in the men’s over 55’s fours. They played Horncastle winning 21-18 and then met Cleethorpes in the final. It was a great game with the boys just missing out on a trip to Royal Leamington Spa losing 20-16. Well done David Brammer, Kevin Lewis, Stephen Bowden and Andy Hanson. Up the pickles!🥒
