The tradition of exchanging the national symbols or souvenirs at WRTC started at least 30 years ago when Dale, VE7SV was distributing small pins in the form of Canadian flag.
Since then, many pins, signs, fridge magnets were given by WRTC competitors, referees and guests to each other.
One of the most memorable souvenirs were Koalas holding Australian flag (by Bernd VK2IA).
Unfortunately this time WRTC-2026 Org. Committee made decision to ban all flags and national ID symbols/signs from the "Olympic Games Of HAM Radio".

"To maintain a welcoming, neutral, and inclusive
environment for all participants, the display of national flags, national identity emblems, or other symbols primarily intended to indicate national affiliation is not permitted by competitors during the official WRTC 2026 event period.
This restriction applies for competitors from arrival at the WRTC 2026 Headquarters at Wyboston Lakes on 8 July 2026 until departure from the event on 14 July 2026, and covers the WRTC 2026 Headquarters venue and accommodation, including activities and events there, including social time.
Competitors must not display, wear, carry, or otherwise exhibit national flags, national identity emblems, banners, signs, or similar items during the period covered by this rule. It is similarly prohibited to display any words, symbols, graphics, or other representations relating to any nation or nationality".

We already ordered and printed hundreds of pins and fridge magnets hoping to give them as a gift to WRTC participants and guests. Now we have to find a way how to distribute them *OUTSIDE* WRTC 2026 Headquarters at Wyboston Lakes...
Maybe at some bar or coffee shop nearby, or at the operating site?

🏆📡 Chasing another world title.

RigExpert is proud to support the Ukrainian team competing at the World Radiosport Team Championship (WRTC) 2026 — the most prestigious event in amateur radio contesting, taking place on July 8–13, 2026, in East Anglia, United Kingdom.

WRTC is often called the ‘’Olympics of Ham Radio’’. The world’s best operators are being selected for this event through years of competition and qualification. Once there, every team competes under identical conditions, using similar equipment and exactly same antenna setups. No technical or propagation advantages. No shortcuts. Only skills, strategy, teamwork, and 24 hours of nonstop operating will determine who becomes the World Champion.

Ukraine already has a remarkable WRTC success history.

At WRTC 2022 in Italy, the Ukrainian team, consisted of Yarik UW7LL and Yuri VE3DZ, operating as I44W, delivered an exceptional performance, became the Overall Winner achieving the best score among all competing teams.🥇🌍🏆

Now, the challenge is even greater.
After winning the world title in 2022, the Ukrainian team returns to WRTC with the goal of proving their strength once again and defending their title among the world’s elite contest operators. We hope to see Ukraine once again at the top of the standings proving its World Champion legacy.

We are proud to support the team as they push the limits of skill, teamwork, and radio excellence on the world stage.
