WRTC-2026 RBN data analysis of the 5 GBxWR TEST stations (plus G1A).
Data from the 5 GBxWR stations was retrieved from the Reverse Beacon Network (RBN) during IARU 2026 Contest. There are several variables such as beam heading, and the amount of time each station calls CQ which can affect the samples and the validity of the data, overall this appears to show that the stations' performance was roughly equivalent. The impact of different timing and operating strategy on the average RBN reports can be seen in the small differences between the GB5WR and GB9WR statistics when these sites were particularly similar – being within 500m of each other on a completely flat and open field with very flat terrain. The overall close equivalence of all the sites was further verified by examination of the individual skimmer graphs on the RBN site which helps understand the correlation between individual stations at the same time.
Also included is RBN data for G1A, operated by VE3DZ/UW7LL as a Multi-Two Low Power station from the nearby QTH of M0NKR.
